  1. The starting in the back and working your way forward is probably the best advice, especially since Steel Vengeance tends to get the longest lines. The new pavilion in the Boardwalk section of the park towards the front also has fantastic food and can get some good views up there of the sunset. Crowds can be hit or miss during Halloweekends so you might be able to hit a lot of the highlights quickly or still deal with long lines. The moving of the car I don't believe is necessary though haha. Breakfast wise I don't have any recommendations though I imagine there's something good in Vermillion or Huron. Hope you enjoy your visit!
  2. In a surprise announcement, Cedar Point's 18th coaster is on its way for next season: Siren's Curse. Exciting to see the park working with Vekoma and hopeful in seeing what this relationship brings. Also interesting how the ride will be located not in the newly opening Snake River Falls area but across from Iron Dragon by the Marina. https://www.cedarpoint.com/new-in-2025 Paired with the *crosses fingers* reopening of TT2, next year should be an exciting one for America's Roller Coast.
  3. Thanks for the heads up. Sadly won't be able to make it but curious if any news about Top Thrill 2 will come out of it.
  4. Cedar Point has confirmed that Top Thrill 2 will be closed for the rest of the season. They have been testing the ride at least a couple of times recently so here's to hoping it will be ready to go next year. https://www.cedarpoint.com/top-thrill-2-update
  5. Current rumors are saying the wheels may need to be reengineered and it could be later in the summer, July-ish, until it reopens when they find and test a new option. It being a prototype as @ColDayMan mentioned from a company that doesn't have experience working on this level of coaster, it's not surprising but still a bummer. Hope they find a working solution soon!
  6. Fantastic reporting as always, Ken. Thank you for your work on this and providing all of the different perspectives regarding this. This news definitely comes with mixed-emotions. On an infrastructure point, this location makes sense, and having the airport right there would help with more year-round use of things like parking garages and (possible) hotels outside of game and concert days. Can definitely see them being mutually beneficial. Leaving the city itself though is still a tough pill to swallow, even with its few uses throughout the year and prime location. Will need to let this one marinate for awhile, especially if it's looking more like a distinct possibility.
  7. Absolutely can't wait to see the on-ride videos that come out of it once completed, truly blows everything out of the water. Top Thrill 2 is going to have it's own unique thrills though, and looking straight down on that spike is going to be absolutely wild. So far, Zamperla seems to be doing a great job.
  8. Yeah, I think a lot of us were hoping it would bring a new major record back to the park, but CP likes to take their titles for complete circuit coasters and ignore records claimed by other parks, like Superman at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Then again, that usually only matters to us coaster fans and not the general public. Still shocked Falcon's Flight is actually becoming a reality.
  9. In some cool news, Top Thrill 2 has already been spotted doing partial test runs after recently completing the new spike. Looks like it's mainly back and forth between the spike and part of the top hat, but exciting to see already before the spring. https://screamscape.com/html/cedar_point.htm#Dragster
  10. Crocker Park announced yesterday they're getting a Lego Store this Winter, and the one at Beechwood will be staying open. Cleveland will be the first metro in Ohio to have two shops. (Easton technically has two though the one at the Discovery Center is not an "official" Lego Store). https://www.crainscleveland.com/scott-suttell-blog/holiday-cheer-crocker-park-getting-lego-store
  11. Just moving back to Cleveland from Minneapolis, it is an exciting thought to see the kind of development a stadium in the downtown grid can bring to the city. My main question is if this site or one similar to it is chosen, do you all think that downtown connectivity to the lakefront will continue to stall because they'll need to keep the Shoreway as is for traffic? The main things that excite me about the USPS site, while having less impact on surrounding neighborhoods, is not only the easy rapid connection but that the Shoreway could potentially go on a road diet and bring on development to better connect downtown and the lakefront. It seems like one of the big things that's been hindering connectivity between the lakefront and downtown is the Shoreway and its current layout.
