Cleveland: Campus District
Would it be smart for the struggling Universities to merge? Cleveland State would become something similar to Kent with a main campus and the satellites in outer areas/suburbs like they have with their Twinsburg campus? I don't see the point of competing with each other when everyone is struggling.

Cleveland: University Circle (General): Development and News
I can see the Key Bank site, maybe move the bank into an empty storefront while the site is redeveloped and then move it back when it's finished. I said where a tower "makes sense" because the Rite Aid site while in a great location is screaming "mid rise" more than high rise due to surrounding buildings being 5-6 stories. I'd say we'd see a Library lofts sized building here. Speaking of Library Lofts sized building I would love the old CDC building have a building of that size built there as well as the used car lot.

Eh the St. Vincent's site seems like it has a plan in place so if money is there for it something will be on that site. The CMHA Housing seems like a when and not if. Burke won't close for another 10-15 years most likely so in that time frame you really have just the Lakefront space. I will say the city really needs to redevelop the Browns site ASAP because it is the front door to our city and sits prominently in a lot of images and videos. An empty site seems like a black eye.

Wait so what possibly could be the other site? I'm drawing a blank for any other sites in UC where a tower makes sense.

One has to believe that PNC Bank building is next in line to be built on. The building while (relatively) young it will be sitting on prime area once this gets announced.

Ah that makes a lot of sense.

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower at Erieview & Galleria Renovation
AYEEEEEEE. This may be the most exciting renovation project in YEARS. The addition of a Marquee name like the W, and the first ever W apartments in Ohio is massive. I also am excited to see the impact it has on the Galleria.

What was the reasoning for his placement again? Looking at the third picture why isn't he facing the direction on the camera with his back towards the lake?

Yes because if why wait 20 years to close an airport that takes 10-15 years to close? In that 20 year timeframe Cleveland will be a much different city why stagnate it by having to wait for ANOTHER 10-15 years because you chose to keep an airport open that loses the city money? Look at the Browns stadium situation, because we kept that airport open we missed out on an opportunity to move it over there to compete with Brookpark. Why repeat the same thing twice?

I may be off base but I was crossing the DS Bridge and saw a city dump truck with a claw arm attached to it and it was gripping the old beige trash cans we hate so much. It looks like they were attempting to rip pull them up from the ground.

Cleveland: Retail News
This is the update unfortunately: Update: Well, maybe not. Multiple reports out there today relate the news that IKEA has officially announced a store in Columbus in 2017. What that means for a potential Clevo location — not great news if you ask us — remains to be seen.

Tech manufacturing? Columbus is killing us right now. With my glass half empty Clevelander view, I'd fully expect DeWine to do everything he can to bring it to Ohio........Columbus, Ohio.

This was at about 12:30 today, I find it ironic that the police officer is there, stopped for a second, and kept going instead of enforcing with a ticket.

That's not terrible but with 3 gas stations in walking distance we could've went without this. But this is better than the previous gas station here.

Cleveland: Which Project Will Be Next and Why
Isn't the Erie view redevelopment supposed to begin in 2025 as well? I also predict we'll hear about the PHS project as well and if it's announced soon enough it could break in 2025.

Cleveland: Tremont: Development and News
It looks like they have unfortunately begun finishing the Gas station redevelopment project at 14th and Clark. New steel framing is up and some concrete is laid.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
My girlfriend and I were talking to one of the business partners for Build The Pho Vietnamese restaurant in Uptown and he mentioned they'll be opening a 2nd location next to Citizens Pie in Ohio City. He also mentioned they are opening in that location because they (different group) are building a multiphase apartment project behind it. I'm assuming that's the Voss project.

Cleveland / Northeast Ohio: "What If/Hypothetical/Dream" Construction and Projects Discussion
Looking at this picture, even developing the land bridge with the food hall underneath, the beach and the other public areas such as the water features would create a vibrant lakefront experience and those are the most doable parts of this vision. The buildings while they'll come would be icing on the cake.

What area would fill the gap between Key Tower and 200 P.S? Is it the Nucleus Site?
