  1. Quite a long list. I was already against it before these 10 items but the logic of building this doesn't make sense. Can't they just rework this building, and add storefronts similar to the design they proposed? Maybe add storefronts that face the front of the street. The parking section, parking already exist to the right of the building (when facing it from Madison Avenue), can the property zoning be split to allow the corner lot to be saved for a TOD Development in the future?
  2. I mainly say that because this view shows a sea of beige so to break up the monotony I mentioned wanting to see (well designed) glass structures.
  3. I don't mind it, I like that it allows people to be dropped off in the heart of the square. If car traffic was allowed it would be a different conversation.
  4. That's not a bad stance though. What RTA is facing with the homeless problem is not an RTA problem but a societal issue throughout the United States. That's why other developed countries like Japan can have cleaner "safer" transit. The MTA has this issue, BART has this issue, etc. If this issue is to go away they need to fix structural issues within the American society and ideology when it comes to services offered to those that need it.
  5. I wouldn't call it embarrassing for that. The reasoning that there is bus traffic through the square is not because Cleveland wanted it, it was the complete opposite. I can't fault Cleveland, a poor city for not wanting to pay millions of dollars just to get around that.
  6. What is the status of this project? Also isn't this Glenville and not Hough?
  7. This is sooooooo much better. Now I won't have to be embarrassed to show people from out of town what public square looks like lol.
  8. I wonder how much more Dynamic this view would be if the offices attached to Terminal Tower would have been made of glass as well as the landmark building.
  9. From that view point we simply replaced one skyscraper with a shinier one lol.
  10. Why have people given Glenville distinct areas based off of location (North Glenville, East Glenville, etc.) I was raised in Glenville and continue to live there and still live there but have never heard people refer to their area based off of direction.
  11. I just realized Cleveland Cliffs and Huntington Bank are missing from there.
  12. I hate purchases like this. They never work out long term.
  13. I think the new Macy's urban format store (I've always thought that all department stores struggling should have shifted to this format) would do well here, Downtown (specifically in the May Co. building or on in the old Tilted Kilt space on Ontario, and in Crocker Park.
  14. This is really a game changer for Hough, I think it is getting under celebrated.
  15. I'm in the minority but I prefer this over the other GEIS design.
  16. Because people of lower incomes should be able to easily access the same amenities of those with high incomes. The best neighborhoods have a mixture of people, culture and incomes. The vast majority of Lorain will contain Luxury/Market Rate housing, this can be fully affordable, we'll survive.
  17. Why is the bar deemed "lower" because housing is being provided to people in a city that can't afford a $2,000 750sq ft apartment? They need quality housing as well and Cleveland right now doesn't have that especially at that price point. I feel that people only feel this way because it's in Ohio City instead of Collinwood or Glenville.
  18. Question. If a big problem with building a dome on top of the Current Cleveland Browns stadium site was the weight it would carry on that land due to the dredging, wouldn't it be the same issue with Burke due to it having a similar foundation as North Coast Harbor?
  19. No Superior has some as well, on the opposite side of the Warehouses getting fixed up.
  20. The sooner those one story building on Superior by Downtown can get replaced the better.
  21. When you really look at this rendering, maybe Brook Park wouldn't be too bad. MY GOODNESS the stadium takes up a lot of space.
  22. Says it's down for maintenance
  23. That parking garage completely destroyed that Cleveland sign shot.
  24. I just realized they placed the garage of a riverfront development, on the riverfront. No space for a boardwalk or anything.
  25. Idk if that is sarcasm or not but no, the Browns being there is a mistake as is.
