  1. Don't get me wrong, I like this plan. But also this is separated from Downtown and sits next to the freeway just like the proposed site in Cleveland. This is why I don't necessarily oppose that site because it gives us an opportunity to correct and activate that site and "extend" downtown. Sent from my Pixel 8 Pro using Tapatalk
  2. This proposal is only good if the activate the ground levels on majority if not all of the proposed buildings. If not you're looking at a massive dead zone for decades to come once again.
  3. City Hall greenlights 5 new streets in Cleveland’s Buckeye-Woodhill neighborhood CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Five new streets will be built in Cleveland’s Buckeye-Woodhill neighborhood as part of efforts to replace the city’s second-oldest housing complex, and build apartments and townhomes around it. https://www.cleveland.com/metro/2023/10/city-hall-greenlights-5-new-streets-in-clevelands-buckeye-woodhill-neighborhood.html Sent from my Pixel 8 Pro using Tapatalk
  4. I'd prefer two mid-rise buildings around the size of the Anthony J. Celebreeze building, which at 32 stories measures at 577,000 square feet. So double that and you'd get square footage around 1.2 million. I feel like if one building is slightly shorter at 28 stories you can include a building at 4-5 stories that matches the WHD that can house a building with a cafe or something. 5. Well that's why I was saying replicate it, I kind of figured it had some sort of cost cutting done but if the structure was good maybe it could've been built upon Sent from my Pixel 8 Pro using Tapatalk
  6. I've been racking my brain around how we can cheaply create a loop to connect people to the train stations. Sent from my Pixel 8 Pro using Tapatalk
  7. I never understood why we never tried to maintain or replicate this. Sent from my Pixel 8 Pro using Tapatalk
  8. All 3 of our stadiums have pretty direct rail access, if/when we build a stadium I would hope that this would be something that is considered. If they design it properly and allow it to be used for non soccer events, it could be a boom for whatever line it connects to. Sent from my Pixel 8 Pro using Tapatalk
  9. I believe some machines have card readers, at least by the look of them in the media articles. Some machines look similar to the ones in University Circle. I do think it's kind of tacky that they slapped a sticker on the meters instead of pulling them Sent from my Pixel 8 Pro using Tapatalk
  10. Fairfax market is probably my favorite "Human scale" development. Human scale may be a stretch but the impact it has on that corner, the placement in proximity to an already busy corridor makes it feel like such a mega city development. Sent from my Pixel 8 Pro using Tapatalk
  11. I never noticed that one of those buildings actually said AT&T. What building is that? Sent from my Pixel 8 Pro using Tapatalk
  12. Same thing as always. Burke flight paths. Sent from my Pixel 8 Pro using Tapatalk
  13. This really puts it into perspective how narrow Terminal Tower really is. Really don't like that look at all, thank goodness for the Higbee building lol. Sent from my Pixel 8 Pro using Tapatalk
  14. From the 7th floor of the Cuyahoga County JJC (Maybe we're the forest city after all) Sent from my Pixel 8 Pro using Tapatalk
  15. Side note: If all of Cleveland neighborhoods had an alley system like Ohio City and Glenville (a neglected one but I digress) it could make a cool bike lane system that could get bikers around the city while avoiding main roads. Sent from my Pixel 8 Pro using Tapatalk
  16. I can't blame the city for idiotic drivers. While it would be nice to have bike lanes that are separated with concrete or something more permanent, they shouldn't HAVE to. There is no excuse for purposely running these over. Any competent human can ride alongside these without destroying them. Sent from my Pixel 8 Pro using Tapatalk
  17. Seeing a site plan for a development with the intention of encouraging transit ridership includes a 1:1 parking layout shows how far this city has to go with its zoning and more importantly their parking requirements. I do like that they will offer free transit passes and the overall building design but that site plan looks so bizarre when you realize the intent of this building. 18. See this design is great! I'd be fine with this. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  19. Ask for protected bike lanes and you shall receive. They were going up as I took these pictures. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  20. Yeah that's what I was thinking as well. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  21. When did University Circle add shared bike lane sidewalks? They are equipped with stop signs and everything. It stretches from the Meijers market to at least East 105th and Euclid. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  22. I know they're available I saw them. I'm talking about the reactions that the developers received at the recent meeting. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  23. From what it sounds like this building didn't have either. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  24. A building with poor design and layout is something that can't be easily replaced. Once we decide on a final design we are stuck with that for at least the next 30+ years. I'd rather wait for a design and layout that is deserving of this street corner than get something built just to say we built something. I'm tired of settling in this city we deserve the best or damn near close. Couple this building with Irishtown bend happening a block away and you have a project that is of even more importance to get it right if we want to create continuous momentum from this stretch of 25th.
