Cleveland: Random Development and News
If there is a person outside the region that's best then you go with what's best. I'd never want to hire someone from within that may not be as qualified just to say "I kept it local". Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk

Question. Would it be a good idea to explore the possibility of having a station near West 25th and Detroit? With that area already being busy, coupled with the guaranteed to be popular Irishtown Bend and the future investments that are going to come because of it, I feel it would be good to have a WFL station near it. The West 25th street station is too far to be an effective rail stop for it and because of the dead zone between it and Detroit beyond bridge avenue the walking experience isn’t the best. Are there old tracks that could be reactivated or would a major project have to take place? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Generative AI is basically typing a design command into photoshop etc. and it generates it for you immediately. (Ex. Add an American flag to this building). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Signs on Market. I like em, especially "People over cars". But they didn't work because right after this picture an older woman asked was it closed for a festival lol Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk

East Cleveland: Development and News
The TOD potential of the Genesis project can be outstanding with both the Healthline and Red Line stations just steps away. I hope developments that are occurring along Euclid will cause RTA to renovate the Superior Station. I skip it on purpose in favor of Windermere due to its condition. Broken glass, dim lighting and broken escalators don’t bode well for ridership if they are serious about TOD in this area. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This has the potential to be such a lively stretch of Superior Avenue if developed right. The midway project can’t come soon enough! Hopefully that project causes more pedestrian friendly developments and green areas to be developed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This is my thing. If the Haslam’s are leaning towards keeping an open air stadium and (I would assume) it would be in the same location and of similar size, why are we building an entirely new stadium. Why not do what the Cavs (to a lesser extent) and the Guardians have done and complete extensive renovations to the existing structure? It seems like a waste of resources to build a new structure that doesn’t do much different than the old one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Essentially it said the groundbreaking will be October 5th with site work taking place in November followed by the digging for Caissons that will go 100 feet deep. The rest is just a recap of the Mayors plan and facts about the project that we already know such as the museum square footage increasing from 155,000 square feet to 205,000 square feet etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

To be honest I don’t think Haslam has much leverage here if he is truly sticking to the “Staying in NEO” route. No city or county is going to have or going to want to put up the amount of resources that Cleveland or Cuyahoga County can or has the ability to. Essentially it would be a downgraded stadium. In Cleveland he’s looking for a $1 billion - $2 billion stadium but if he were to move to another city that figure would drop significantly due to lack of resources compared to Cleveland as well as public support. If he said yes to a downgraded $500 million stadium or kicked in more of his own money just to get a stadium built why couldn’t he do that in Cleveland. Only reason I would see would be to spite Cleveland. Now if he changed gears and threatened to leave to Columbus that would be different. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Put a stadium that (looks like will be open air again due to no one wanting to pay) on prime land again, taking away from development opportunities. Or placing it on land that is in the city, near downtown, few hurdle’s/objections compared to other sites and still accessible but is separated enough to where it isn’t seen as prime land. This site is perfect for such a limited use structure tbh. It’s like having our cake (keeping the Browns downtown in the city) and eating it too (having the Browns downtown still while avoiding using up desirable land since it won’t be used much). I mentioned this as my preferred site for those reasons on top of it being by a highway which is attractive for a couple of reasons, suburbanites that want to get in and out of the city and if it’s a ballpark village getting built then it is great for visitors to easily access the hotels, bars etc. Couple that with it being located by Progressive field and Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse (relatively close) it creates an arena district of sorts and also extends downtown, especially if more development follows. Isn’t that the area as well that was being considered for the relocation of the redline I believe? That could be the perfect opportunity to add rail over there if it gets extensively developed. If high-rises were built in the warehouse district I would hope they had a low rise "step" that connected it better with the surrounding buildings. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk

It's not necessarily a development but with so many historic buildings getting demolished in Cleveland, especially in the East Side, seeing the preservation of this absolutely gorgeous building on 105th street made the nerd in me happy. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk

Are the new coaches they bought a few years back junk? I don't recall us having this issue with the 2400-2900 series buses (The regular coaches that were our main used ones before this order). I know those buses are getting long in the tooth so that may be what's biting us in the butt now, I was just curious. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk

I feel like I'm the only one that doesn't like this building. It looks like it was made to fill a gap in an already dense neighborhood but it has nothing surrounding it so it looks awkward and bare from some angles imo. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk

I would love to see Hough avenue filled with quality brick mid rise buildings (5-7 stories) with multiuse/commercial uses and the bottom on the 1st floor. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
