  1. I mean the bus only and do not enter signs simplify it enough for me.
  2. DC and Cleveland are in two vastly different positions as cities. Us offering the same percentage as DC shows how bad of a deal this would be for us.
  3. It would be nice but can't start above the stations when they haven't even mastered building around the stations.
  4. Maybe I'm misreading it but it just seems like a platform rehab and not a station rehab, especially when you realize Cedar-University was just rebuilt. What is strange is that Cedar-University is about 5 years old but isn't ADA Compliant at the platform level?
  5. My god when is Superior Station going to get a rebuild? It has the best TOD potential, located smack dab in between actual neighborhoods of Cleveland and East Cleveland, is 5 minutes from UC but looks like ABSOLUTE SH*T
  6. I think the biggest worry is what happens when everyone's lease is up. Will their reputation be so bad that they can't retain residents and in turn not be able to attract new residents due to that bad reputation. Now you have a new building that sits half empty, which is a bad look.
  7. I thought my computer wasn't done loading lol.
  8. This is probably the best you're going to get
  9. It's on the border of University Circle and Glenville on 118th street but does anyone know what development this is?
  10. Only thing I got from it was the Guards and Cavs wanted to figure out how we are going to keep this money flowing when they need it
  11. But construction has been consistently happening in Cleveland at a healthy clip for the past 10-15 years. Whether the region population has been stagnant or not the construction sector has been booming whether it is conversions, renovations or new construction m
  12. I just realized this is in the shape of a paint brush and the lights changing represents the different paint colors. I can't believe I missed that.
  13. We will never get a new stadium at this rate. Based off of how bad we are the state may force our stadium to be demolished.
  14. Okay so if a full fledged MLS team only takes up 15 Acres why are they requesting such a large amount of land? Is there another aspect to this that they haven't mentioned?
  15. Putting it into perspective like that, we don't have any site that can accomodate this in the city and if we did would we want to allocate that to a development like this?
  16. The St. Vincent's site is my suggestion. It is accessible by highway, sits in an area that lacks amenities and this could be a community draw, and is by CSU. Demolishing that area is going to free up A LOT of space that will sit vacant for a while. A second idea is CSU piggybacking on this to build a Cavs/Guardians gateway style development with offices, an indoor facility and outdoor field in the middle that is flanked by a smaller, more modern Wolstein Center. CSU gets a new arena in a way that is more cost effective, has a modern practice facility that replaces their current lackluster option, and it is relatively close to the new stadium.
  17. I would like them to update them for one because they look outdated af. Secondly, it contrast the new expansion in a way that looks tacky.
  18. Oh my. I never even realized that the building was surrounded by residential.
  19. Oh yeah I do remember that. I know in retrospect keeping it heavy rail looks silly but wasn't our rail ridership in 1980 a very high levels, I believe 3.2 Million? What was the justification for the switch to light rail? Was the rail ridership steadily declining?
  20. Very few people in this country have pockets and resources as deep as Dan Gilbert. If we are being honest Detroit lucked out with him, it's rare.
  21. When I found out their current rolling stock was made by Breda it kind of shocked me. I wonder why we just didn't order a complete Breda fleet when we ordered the LRV's.
  22. It does look a lot better.
  23. You have my attention. I would love to see how this would look.
  24. What about expanding into Prospect or Huron and partnering with developers in a similar way CWRU did with developers in Little Italy? Since they would be regular apartments, in an already walkable (width of streets) neighborhood that connects to downtown, they could create a "university district" with bars etc. and they may be more inclined to stay beyond graduation
