  1. Fantastic! I'm excited to see it come to fruition. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  2. That's sad to hear. I don't want this area to turn into another Tremont, there needs to be a balance of affordability in every neighborhood. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk

  4. Yes that one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Didn't the parking garage get a crane? Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  6. The West side is treated much better than the East side, from streetscape projects, to historical preservation and restoration all the way to quality of new housing projects. It's just the harsh reality in this city. So many neighborhoods and sections should've been further ahead as far as redevelopment and reinvigoration. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  7. The virtually perfect spacing between our big 4 is oddly satisfying. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  8. The affordable housing high rise renovation has been delayed due to funding issues. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  9. This is the exact point I was doing to make. PHS is on the edge of Downtown, so a few blocks away the activity drops off dramatically especially when CSU students aren't there. Combine that with the other side of Euclid being a dead zone due to a lack of ground floor activity, they are in a tough spot. US Bank plaza starting to be utilized properly plus the new building uses in PHS started to happen, that will be the saving grace for consistent activity in this part of downtown. I will say a restaurant/bar with garage style doors that open during warmer months with late hours would do wonders here. The current offerings seem closed off to the area and create that "dead" feel. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  10. This could've been a similar project to Warner and Swasey. The city loves choosing the convenient route when it comes to structures like this versus the creative route, especially on the East side and it's annoying. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  11. The unfortunate part about this section of MLK Blvd is it's connection to 90. If this wasn't such a heavily trafficked area especially for highway traffic I would love to see it closed and be pedestrian only/bike only at least on weekends. A weekly Cultural farmers market would be fantastic here. This section of MLK combined with the same stretch of East Blvd creates one of the most beautiful sections of the city. 12. Does the city have a program or fund available for these cultural gardens to utilize? Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  13. I didn't even know we had a British and French cultural garden, nor did I know so many were trying to expand. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  14. Question. What factors go into the city determining which streets are allowed to park on both sides of the street? There are streets in the city that could use that ability such as streets off of Clifton avenue near Lakewood and I believe Lake only allows one side to be parked on as well. It can't be street width because West 26th off of Lorain is extremely narrow and allows it. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  15. Little Italy is the one neighborhood I feel would be perfect for some east coast style architecture, such as Brownstones or even the traditional multifamily brick housing you see in Philadelphia (the name of the style escapes me so I'll call them vintage townhomes). Especially since it's the one area that contains the density of an east coast city. Tight spaces but high demand in the area you would think historically the architecture would've reflected something like that. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  16. Speaking of that area, there isn't enough room at Pinecrest for an IKEA seems like an ideal location especially with it's growth and highway access. Also I feel that with the furniture stores that have departed Legacy Village, a smaller IKEA could go in those spaces. Less than ideal parking but it still is situated in a desirable area. 17. I didn't understand why the glass portion (the best part of the design imo) will have to be a part of the second phase. Did I miss something? Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  18. They sure don't make em like they used to. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  19. Although I went on a rant about the same thing there are bright spots. Cleveland brings: stability, a much more competent government, and most important to developers and residents they bring stable and reliable city services. Cleveland being the namesake city would definitely spur further development down Euclid as University Circle fills up due to those reasons. University Circle and developers are slow to build due to the lack of everything that I mentioned from East Cleveland. Honestly the main thing that will spur major change is Ohio and East Cleveland experiencing national embarrassment. No state wants to be the home of a city that experiences something like bankruptcy. Bad PR causes any organization or government to make sweeping changes. Look at Cuyahoga County changing their entire government system after the corruption charges came down and made news everywhere. 20. As a Glenville resident you'd have a hard time selling residents of that neighborhood (ESPECIALLY that neighborhood due to it's similar proximity to UC), Collinwood, St.Clair-Superior etc. on a merger. That proximity hasn't benefited the neighborhood as much as we let on. Cleveland hasn't even been able to reinvest properly in Glenville and other bleeding east side neighborhoods, so you'll have residents complaining that they'd be even further forgotten about. I can't say I'd blame them either, Glenville is unstable, dangerous and blighted. Until they see that they are being taken care of they don't want Cleveland to take on more. Circle north isn't a good argument because that's such a small slither of Glenville and after 5+ years of Frank Jackson's developments along 105th it the economic development and investment hasn't made it beyond the OTHER side of Superior towards St.clair. What has been built outside of the 30 affordable homes that were built is unaffordable and unobtainable to other residents. Those 30 homes didn't even put a dent into what Glenville needs. Only the residents next to or close to University Circle have benefited and it looks like it will remain that way for a while. So until that changes and Cleveland shows that it can support the East Side neighborhoods that it currently has then the East side is an extremely hard sell for this merger at the ballot. Combine that with residents looking at East Cleveland as a blemish and undesirable already, makes this dead in the water at the ballot. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  21. I'm sure if you take away the structured parking that percentage lowers by a substantial amount. Saying downtown Cleveland is "parking" vs "parking lots" are two different things. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  22. The second part is exactly why Cleveland would not want to do it. Unless they got a hell of a deal they'd definitely get the short end of the stick. This just made me realize though that the two far east side rapid stations won't benefit from Cleveland's new legislation. Major bummer because Superior station in particular has SOOOOOO much TOD potential, probably the most out of all stations with the exception of 117th. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk

Hopefully the reform can be extended to the entire city eventually versus just by rail stops, baby steps though.
  24. Their project is what I thought about when I mentioned how streets that aren’t Euclid are given the same treatment as Euclid. The Carnegie side of the Foundry did not receive the same love as the Euclid side. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Whatever may go there needs to have an active space fronting Chester as well. Too many times we build buildings to activate Euclid and forget about the surrounding streets. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
