Cleveland: Midtown: Development and News
I love the pace of this project. Midtown may not turn into Atlanta’s with high rise buildings left and right but a dense urban environment with attractive multistory/mid rise buildings would be just as exciting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cleveland: University Circle: Cleveland Clinic Developments
This is what creative preservation looks like (Skip to the 20 minute and 30 second mark). Minneapolis had a sears department store that looked eerily similar to the one Cleveland clinic tore down recently. Instead of tearing theirs down they repurposed it to an active market space. That would’ve done wonders down by the Clinic. Reactivating an area that is so closed off. It also ties into a discussion we were having in another thread about Cleveland tearing too much down from our past and how cities like Pittsburgh (and apparently Minneapolis) do better and repurposing their past. Cleveland: Urban Planning, Development, and Other Meetings You Should Know About and Attend
This YouTube video highlights what Minneapolis does very well (as well as something’s they can improve on). I watched it and I saw a lot of similarities to Cleveland (Lake access, BRT, Light Rail, Industrial history and underutilized bridges). They utilize all of those things a lot better than we do and I felt this was something that Cleveland could learn from. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cleveland: Cleveland-Cliffs
How much office space would be available in the flats after EY leaves? I would assume a substantial amount of that building is empty, but maybe I’m wrong. If they do acquire them and they want to build a new office building two locations are emerging at the perfect time. One is obviously Dan Gilbert’s Riverfront project, the other is Circle square. Located right by the opportunity corridor and highway, combined with the location of various top notch attractions and college (CWRU) and the office component potentially being the next phase, I think this location would be a dark horse. Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Destination Cleveland should really be working to get this building along with City Club into shots for national broadcast as the browns season approaches. Just like the whole google earth thing, what people are shown is outdated so they have an old mindset on Cleveland. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm actually a huge fan of this design. Looks modern without a tacky design, so it should age well. I wouldn't be mad at something similar for Browns stadium. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk

Funny thing about Browns stadium is that even though it's a vanilla stadium, it hasn't aged poorly in the looks department. Sometimes playing it safe works. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
Bring back the fare turnstiles but allow fare to be paid with your phone. Tickets don't even have to be printed. The turnstiles could have a screen on them you press, "One way" or "All day pass" you tap your phone or credit card, it deducts and sends you a digital receipt (If phone is used, Google pay and Apple Pay already provide payment notifications). Credit card users can get a quick receipt printed. If you use cash then you can either use the existing payment terminals and get a card and people swipe just like they do with a police officer (or fare enforcement). The turnstiles though would be taller and similar to MTA in New York to deter fare jumpers. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk

That's the frustrating part. Back in June they had "enough funding and more" but now they have another gap. My God, they bit off more than they can chew. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk

Wasn't that the gap in funding though. Edit: As of June they had more than enough funding according to KJP. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
