  1. 3 Cranes downtown now lol Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  2. Is there a time period that we have to keep the square open to bus traffic or even if we tried to close it 15 years from now we'd still have to pay money back? Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  3. I believe the issue is still the east side is bleeding out. They are adding units and seeing more residential neighborhoods filled on the west side, not the East. The only area seeing substantial investment is University Circle and that isn't enough to offset loss. Hough is starting to see investment with University Circle filling up and we'll see if that can continue and makes a difference in the next couple of years. Fairfax is getting SOME spill over development but the substantial development is happening all over on the west side and only in one place on the East. Also we are swapping large families with Empty nesters and/or home of 1-3 so that has to balance itself out first as well. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  4. Boy I hope you're right but the city was so far off from official census estimates in the past that I won't hold my breath, I'd probably pass out. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  5. Cleveland’s population dips again, but census estimates show a smaller loss in 2022 Paywalled but we've lost people again. The article doesn't give a detailed breakdown of anything though such as demographic changes etc. https://www.cleveland.com/data/2023/05/clevelands-population-dips-again-but-census-estimates-show-a-smaller-loss-in-2022.html
  6. Well that's dumb. Why demolish a perfectly useful garage to EVENTUALLY build a garage that can support a tower? Why not keep it open until financing is in place and ready for a new one. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  7. We have brick! Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  8. Relax. You're over exaggerating. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  9. My occasional contribution. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  10. Closing shaker boulevard would basically be the equivalent of what happened with Public Square. Shaker Boulevard closing is like Superior closing to car traffic and substitute the bus only traffic with rail. We all adjusted to Downtown traffic flowing around the square, this is considerably less traffic so they could do the same here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Wade Lagoon is gem Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Whoever was responsible for the Trees along Euclid in University circle needs to oversee these (and opportunity corridor, those trees are a lost cause)
  13. Funny you mention the West Shoreway. On my drive along the shoreway I sat and thought, “if they are going to make this a boulevard they need to make it pedestrian friendly.” The west shoreway is literally a highway with boulevard speeds. No bike lanes, no sidewalks, just made strictly to push traffic through. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. STJ literally is perfect, I feel that RTA NEEDS to make this happen. I don’t see why they wouldn’t want to. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Are those……humans???? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I hope the area around the Greyhound station is next. I wouldn’t mind a slightly taller City Club 2 go there. Something has to jumpstart that area. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. If this wasn’t in such a housing starved section of town and development was slow I would be nervous. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Wait that brick house on the right was in perfectly good shape. I really wish the Cleveland Clinic wasn’t allowed to tear some down until their plan was at least shovel ready. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Yeah that short merge is insane. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. It sure does go up fast. I hate the orientation of the house though. I can’t help but feel that if that flipped it to match the other homes we could’ve gotten another house out of it. But that house has to have a garage I guess. I Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I really wonder if they will be running double cars since they offer less seats. Also, to answer someone who said "15 minutes isn't high frequency" . It is for a transit system with low ridership. What is the point of running in 5-7 minute intervals if you aren't picking anyone up? I don't think the frequency deters people with our system, it is the reliability of the rail system itself. Now if we increased our stops as well as opened more stations near residential, jobs etc. Such as reopening 120th street station (Which is definitely possible with the new trains). With that those 15 minute trains started to become crowded then we can become a true high frequency system. Until then 15 minutes is more than adequate. What I will say is the 30 minute frequency is way too slow. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  22. Same thing I said Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  23. Well at least it's not dead yet I guess. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
  24. I didn't mind the concept of turning the shoreway bridge into a 35 mph boulevard like the rest of the shoreway but dumping the traffic onto West 3rd downtown but ODOT apparently said it would cause traffic jams and nixed it. Tbh I'm not a huge fan of either remaining option but if I had to pick one it would be bucket C which removes and replace the existing Main Avenue bridge ramp with a new one located west of West Third Street and opens up more development land. 25. They just hate being based in Cleveland at this point. Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk
