Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
Let me start by saying this post isn't targeted at you per say, it just made me think of something that has been on my mind. I'm not against blocking the view of historical buildings anywhere throughout the city when it comes to new development. Too many times in Cleveland we see great designs (this is a massing so I'll reserve final judgement when a design comes) diminished just to be able to look at older buildings. The most recent example is the Bridgeworks project, the first design was amazing, it was told to be altered due to blocking a church and we good an above average design in its place. If we are building for the future we have to stop sacrificing future designs to appease lovers of the past, because 20 years down the line we will be looking at those designs with regret (to be clear I am pro-preservation because we can't replace those designs). To bring it back to this development as long as these are world class building and landscape designs I don't care what it blocks just be designed well and add properly to the area.

Cleveland: Population Trends
Okay I understand. So with the new number released the Black population only dropped 0.2% instead of 3% which means that if the Hispanic population (which already grew) has a decent number added we could be looking at a stagnant population or very slight growth? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cleveland: Population Trends
When the Census estimates came out I saw Cleveland’s Black population dropped to 48.5%, according to this the population is 51.5%. Did the black population drop at a lower number than estimated or did the other demographics grow slower than previously counted? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cleveland: Glenville: Development and News
Work is going pretty fast on the townhome’s off of Ashbury Ave. If these sell fast too I wouldn’t be surprised to see another set of townhome’s to go up either by Knez or someone else because there is clearly a market. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cleveland: University Circle (General): Development and News
I genuinely think that KJP's solution is the best but while I want the row homes to be saved I do agree that it isn't worth killing a large development over.

I wish these could be moved to a neighboring street and rehabbed as apart of the agreement to build this project.

Love the project, love the focus of transit. HATE that once again, an irreplaceable piece of architecture is going to the wayside. This seems like a common theme on the east side, we lose history so quickly and easily. The city definitely needs to figure out what to do to preserve these pieces of architecture in order for the city to maintain some sort of historical identity. I’m a MAJOR fan boy for row homes so this stings. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cleveland: Superior Arts District: Development and News
Naw this will wake up a sleeping area and once completed, also due to the amount of workers I wouldn't be surprised to see spinoff business open around it (makes me which the townhomes built had condo's over retail fronting Superior with the townhomes in the back but I digress). This is exactly what this area needed.
