I definitely like the materials and colors better. Fits more with the surrounding buildings.

Geigers was a very niche clothing store. As much as I wanted to support, they just didn't have anything that appealed to me and I clearly wasn't the only one that felt that way. As far as JHB I feel a cheaper much more mainstream clothing store such as an H&M would do well down here but i'm not sure how big these storefronts are either.

Are there any rumblings of any potential retail tenants for the building? This would be a prime spot for a national clothing retailer to open up. I know that definitely is a long shot though based on the pandemic.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
One of my worries about the All Star weekend is will RTA have enough train cars to support the major influx of riders. Will they just run 3 car trains at a more frequent schedule? Looking at Atlanta's traffic situation (I'm not saying Cleveland will match that) but people, especially residents, will probably use transit much more that weekend. I hope they extend the waterfront line hours.

Former Bounce Nightclub in Cleveland’s Ohio City neighborhood to see new life as unique office space CLEVELAND, Ohio — Construction is underway on a project in the Hingetown area of Ohio City that will turn what was once a well-known LGBTQ+-friendly nightclub into a co-working space run by a startup based in the Columbus area. COhatch plans to complete the renovations and open the building in the 2800 block of Detroit Avenue by April 2021. Inside will be more than 30 private offices, meeting rooms, event space and podcast rooms. The space will also have a restaurant. CEO Matt Davis describes the near-West Side space, as well as other spaces the company has in Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton and Indianapolis as “part co-working space, part country club, part timeshare, part chamber of commerce, all blended into one.” Members pay fees to use space and various amenities, including use of spaces for events. https://www.cleveland.com/realestate-news/2020/11/former-bounce-nightclub-in-clevelands-ohio-city-neighborhood-to-see-new-life-as-unique-office-space.html

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Brain blast here. What if the Center for excellence or whatever its called on Public Square will be built to hold a future high-rise like 515 Euclid was for Beacon? I wouldn't be surprised at that idea because it allows for expansion which for Sherwin Williams seems inevitable.

I'm not able to read the article but are they proposing to rehab the home if they move it off site? If they aren't then you're just moving an eyesore from one neighborhood to another. Just tear it down.

See this is the thing. That is a new Cleveland mentality, the street I grew up on in Cleveland had numerous buildings lined with 4-5 story apartment buildings the held a lot of apartments, a couple still stand to this day. Look at Ashbury Ave. it has at least 3-4 apartment buildings that stand at 4-5 stories right now between I believe East 111th street to 115th street. The homes across the street are single family homes and side by sides that are only 2 stories in height. The first 4 story building on 111th street has a short 2 story single family home sitting right next to it. This is a city, a city that we are trying to get growing again and as native Clevelanders (especially those that grew up in the city) we are used to seeing these large apartment buildings line our streets (especially on the east side). This mentality people are having now are from people that aren't used to the city or shouldn't have moved to the city if they don't like density.

No. Building ANOTHER jail in the middle of ANOTHER predominantly Black city/neighborhood is extremely offensive and sends the wrong message to residents. East Cleveland doesn't get much new development at all and one of the first things they'd wanna build is a jail?! Yeah an an African American I pass, it's a hard no. What logistical benefits are there to building in East Cleveland anyway? It's a landlocked suburb that isn't really close to any freeway. That is what makes this "recommendation' from Budish even more offensive, there is no reason to build there. I'd be willing to discuss the logistics (or lack thereof) of building a jail in East Cleveland but the symbolism and issue of building ANOTHER jail in another poor and predominantly black neighborhood that doesn't get any type of development outside of that doesn't even need discussion. Budish disgusts me.

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
The bedrock site as someone just mentioned. A 20-25 story building would have seemed MASSIVE on the site and a low-rise building would have fit in just fine. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk

Honestly, if this is what they were going to build they could've built this somewhere else in the city. We've waited FOREVER for something to be built on the Jacobs lot and what they come up with is a low-rise paint museum?! They could of at least built the tower on top of the museum on the square. I honestly don't care about this project anymore. Everything that has come out has gotten more and more disappointing and I know the city (based on its history) won't have the guts to tell SHW to fix it. Tragic.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Church+State (West 29th & Detroit Ave)
I heard that the rumored AT&T that was supposed to be opening, fell apart due to ADA compliance issues. Not sure how true that is due to the development being new so I'd imagine it would be compliant from the beginning, just passing info along.

I love the density on this street so much. Honestly even the surrounding streets have the same density with the new housing.

Also these two homes. The last two that they were building have sold already, pretty quickly after construction was over. Good to see. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk

Glenville is actually building pretty dense housing. These new homes while they have driveways are packed pretty tight together. Not to mention the apartments going up/being planned. I feel that hough has a fear of density due to how bad conditions were from people being packed so closely together pre to early post hough riots. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
