  1. The issue with a shorter building to me is how out of place it would look on Public Square. You have 3 buildings surrounding it that would be double the SW building's size, it would look ugly. If the building was built on the parking lot by the greyhound station or the edge of downtown on Superior Avenue then fine those fit in with the surrounding buildings. With this location it doesn't. At all.
  2. There are none really for sale most homes sell when they go right up. The new homes around the corner from this picture I believe still have signs out but I'm not sure if those are even finished yet.
  3. The difference between before the building arrived and after will be astounding. I love it.
  4. Hope the city stays on them about this. Sometimes in Cleveland when something gets dragged this long they just forget about it.
  5. I hope those row homes get renovated soon. An absolute gem. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
  6. The homes along Wade park are beautiful Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
  7. I was speculating just off of what I heard the ultimate goal is for that parcel based of a conversation with someone close to the development of the neighborhood. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
  8. Superior Pizza officially torn down at the corner of Superior and 105th. New residential building next? Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
  9. I think it's pretty good based off it's by the other stadiums. If feasible can have rail access, and when designed I'm sure they will design the stadium to be interactive with shops and restaurants when the stadium is not being used. I'm sure they'll build it to have a retractable roof which automatically will make it easier to increase its usage past football. That also can spur other development down the street away from downtown. The freeway Access will make it extremely easy for people to get to it as well. I think this can spur development further east of downtown. The only thing that would bother me is First Energy stadium is still a relatively new stadium. Tearing it down would seem odd but understandable based off the location issues. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
  10. No but from what I hear is rumored is a repeat of the Circle North Project down the street. Residencies with the same upstart small business retail program. Edit: There is also a chance of a mixed use building with an office component if everything lines up but that's not a guarantee. Last time I inquired about that was pre-covid so idk where that stands.
  11. This is not just a massing? I like how it fronts the sidewalk better that the other design Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
  12. I love this project so much. Small but impactful. Obviously they will need to have strong retail connections to fully bring this to life but fingers crossed. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
  13. Former school site near University Circle will become mixed-use project: Churchill Gateway A plan to turn the site of the former Harry E. Davis School into new living and working space got final approval from Cleveland’s Planning Commission just before Thanksgiving week. The school building has been vacant since 2012. Churchill Gateway will offer more than 50 apartments and townhomes, “that appeal to small and growing families while also providing training and support service space,” according to the project’s Ohio Housing Finance Agency proposal. https://www.news5cleveland.com/news/local-news/whats-going-on-with/former-school-site-near-university-circle-will-become-mixed-use-project-churchill-gateway Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
  14. Meant to post pictures but the North Park Place project on Stokes Blvd. is up and rolling. Foundation is in process of being laid finally. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
  15. I agree that it shouldn’t be on the OC. Just like the jail now does NOTHING for the area downtown that it is located on, this would do nothing for that area on the OC. The OC needs to be reserved for projects that would breathe life into an area that desperately needs it. This does the complete opposite. If anything put it in the area downtown that has nothing on it I believe Orange Avenue (The road leads up to the Gateway District) It’s a lot of land, already is being used for government uses with the post office and has freeway access and isn’t too far from the justice center.
  16. Columbus rent on average is dramatically cheaper than ours by comparison but they still have higher quality builds than us.
  17. Speaking of Circle Square I wonder how this effects their grocery store plans. These two grocery stores would be pretty close.
  18. Subscriber exclusive. Can't read it.
  19. What's weird is they completed my street but left one streetlight the same. It's the only one like that and it bugs me. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
  20. I've always wondered if there is a brick facade up underneath that material. That looks like a ''renovation'' similar to what The schofield had.
  21. Midtown is so odd to me. Euclid Avenue downtown sees TONS of residential projects. University Circle's section of Euclid Avenue see's the same. Midtown though struggles. Residential developers seem hesitant to pull the trigger and more than a decade after the Euclid Corridor project it still lacks a true identity and direction to me. They call it the Health Tech Corridor but not much has been built regarding that since that designation popped up.
  22. ^^That interior and its dimensions remind me of a home you'd find in Chicago. I love the progress.
  23. I feel it would be odd to have Dunkin Donuts there when it's one next door.
  24. I'm genuinely not impressed with the layout of the new East 90th street apartments. The entrance being set that far back is something I'm not a fan of and I wish they would match the materials with the remaining brick buildings on the street.
  25. Well the entire facade has already been reconfigured, renovated and interiors renovated. The businesses are definitely in progress of opening. The only thing I can think of is renovating the apartments upstairs.
