Found out at an event tonight on the rooftop that there is a further delay on the pool opening. Now it's July 4th weekend. They did not specify 2025 or 2026. Also, no movement on the coffee shop/wine bar. Some equipment was delivered, sat on the counter for a few days, and is now gone. It looks the same as it has for months.

Spoke to the owner of the restaurant, bar, coffee shop in the building and they are just as frustrated as I am. Looks like the small coffee shop / wine bar will be open soon. They are waiting on an equipment shipment. There is frustration about not being able to have any street level signage due to the scaffolding in the front of the building. The restaurant and speakeasy aren't slated to open until at least the end of the year. They do still intend to have a bartender on the rooftop selling drinks during weekend afternoons in the summer.

Not that I'm aware of. I don't see people coming in or out of the restaurant space, but I guess it's possible.

Happy to report there does seem to be progress on the rooftop. The tv's work up there now. Still not in the gym. Unfortunately, they did not subscribe to the DirecTV tier that offers Tribe games, but at least they have working TVs. There is ice and working refrigerator. The most encouraging sign is there is water in the pool and hot tub. It's a total shell, and the flooring outdoors, daybeds, and cabanas are nowhere near done. It looks like a construction zone. However, water the in pool is a very encouraging sign. They are also advertising a coffee event at Cafe Tartine, the coffee shop, tomorrow, for residents. I don't really understand as there is no coffee equipment in there, but maybe they're bringing some in tomorrow?

It all looks real to me. I don't believe there is an AI involved in that video. But that's not saying much. It looks nice on the surface, but the building is still a joke. If you read the comments in the video, there are many complaints from residents. Deservedly so. There was just some sort of water leak and the the entire lobby area has had fans running non stop for 3 days to dry it out. There is still rarely security at night. Other buildings manage. I have friends in the Lumen and Flats at East Bank. There is always late night security there. They claim the pool will be ready by June. It was supposed to be ready in May 2024. The tv in the "theater" room is so small, it makes the entire concept worthless. I've literally not seen one person use it. Not to mention the speakers aren't hooked up. The tv's in the gym don't work so I can't watch the ballgame during a workout. No progress on the restaurants, bars, etc. I would highly recommend avoiding living in this building.

There seem to be new people in the building, but I couldn't even come up with an educated guess about how it's leasing.

Update on goings on in the building..... The outdoor rooftop has work being done, but with the amount needed to go, I'd be shocked if the pool is open for Memorial Day. Remember, I was told it would be open for Memorial Day 2024. The theater room does now have a working tv set back up after a homeless man came into the building and ripped it down. However, the sound system in the theater room is not working, so it's kind of worthless until then. There is still not 24 hour security. There's very often no one at the front desk, especially at night. The gym does not have working tv's yet. There seems to be no progress on the restaurant, speakeasy, coffee shop/wine bar. I was just recently awarded $2,670 from housing court for the Murphy bed fiasco. It's not nearly enough, in my opinion, but at this point it was about validation for me. Yes I'm still bitter, but if they can get the pool area looking like the renderings and up and running by Memorial Day, it will go a long way in improving the quality of life at the building. I will keep people updated.

Thank you! I've called housing court. No one picked up so I left a message, but no response yet. I did notice some new equipment near the coffee bar yesterday. I wish I knew more. It would be nice if they gave regular updates to residents about the retail spaces and pool area. If I hear or see anything, I'll post it.

So the next part of the Skyline 776 small claims case over the murphy bed situation is that I just got sent a check in the mail for $2,670 from housing court for "rent release" This is slightly more than two months worth of rent. I had put the last 3 months into escrow with housing court. There was no letter or explanation at all. Just a check. Anybody have any idea if this is normal or what this might mean? I know the cyber attack has municipal courts shut down, but this is strange. I don't know if this is a partial award as I asked for the max of $6,000 or if I lost and they expect me to pay Skyline. I have no idea how this works. As far as building updates....a sauna was just installed next to the gym, which seems nice if you're into saunas. Not for me. The tv's still do not work in the gym and there seems to be no progress on the coffee shop / wine bar. Also there is a lighting problem in my apartment in which may have something do with with wiring. Other apartments have the same problem. The maintenance guy can't figure out what is wrong. It's not as simple as changing a light bulb. There is no timeframe for when they might have it fixed. No announcements on the when the rooftop might be finished. About 11 weeks until Memorial Day.....

I have been really biting my tongue about this. I see leasing agents bring people in to show off the apartment. I say nothing. If I lose this case I will make it a point to approach all of them and tell them not to rent here. It's too bad. I was so so so excited to live here. I did notice some sort of work being done on the roof in the last week or so. Hopefully they will actually have the pool area done by summer, albeit a year later than was promised.

I noticed I never answered your question. He definitely stressed it was not in the lease, which it wasn't. I countered with the fact that there is no toilet in the lease and no sexy bathroom in the lease, but they honored everything else about the floor plan except the murphy bed, including a rolling table that is of much smaller value than a murphy bed. He also argued the value of the murphy bed, which is about $3k more than what I asked for in damages.

The lawyer listed off 18 different things that are required by law to be included, such as heat, running water, etc. Then he tried to argue that each of those items is worth my rent ($1,275) divided by 18. The murphy bed was not included in the lease, so if it had been it would valued at $1,275 divided by 19. That's $67 a month. I immediately said that is a preposterous calculation that no reasonable person would accept. Like if my apartment didn't have heat, the value would drop by only $67 a month? I said if any one of those mandated line items is not included, the value of the apartment to any person in the real world would drop to near zero, not by $67. It was at that point he threw out the math minor line. What a joke. The point being, he was trying to trick the judge into essentially saying "he's got everything required by law, and all of those add up to the price of rent, so the murphy bed must be worth even less than those individual line items". He honestly seemed to not understand my logic. I'm dumbfounded how a seemingly intelligent man could honestly believe his own logic. He should have studied more economics and less math.

I don't believe those numbers. I have nothing to go on empirically, but I'll bet 89 percent isn't accurate. I rarely see people in the building. Also, their floor plans STILL show the Murphy beds. Pathetic. I had the small claims case Wednesday. No ruling yet. Their lawyer was beyond annoying and frankly his logic for the value of the murphy bed was nonsensical. He even let it be known he was a "math minor" in college. What a self aggrandizing blowhard.

They are all to be run by the same operator and there has been no movement. I did hear from the previous leasing agent who has since left because management was a nightmare to work for, that he hears the restaurant is now slated to be finished in the summer, not the spring. Also, their review scores on Google are back up because they got like 4 or so 5 star reviews back to back within the span of an hour or two. Obviously a concerted effort by management. As a SW employee, we were previously told we'd be given a 6 month notice as to when we're moving in. Last week we were told we will find out in the coming weeks when we're moving in, and we may not have a 6 month notice.

I don't know anything about architecture so I can't speak on the bones from a structural standpoint, but the parts that are complete look very nice. The lobby is very unique and colorful. Miami vibes. The building WAS transferred to new management and nothing has changed. It's the new management that refuses to live up to the written agreement I had for the Murphy bed. The small claims court hearing is on the 29th. I have to say someone from ownership called me against their lawyer's advice and was very polite. He seemed sincere. But that's not meaningful when he offered me literally nothing that was a value add for me.

The interior of the rooftop space is open. It's still not completely finished. The exterior part of the rooftop is not close to complete, such as the pool and cabana area. A big draw of the rooftop space was that there were plans for the French restaurant to staff the rooftop with a bartender on weekends. The French restaurant is not close to being finished and there is no bartender upstairs. It sits mostly unused as the TV's aren't even operating up there. The way the previous and current management upholds their promises, I will be shocked if the rooftop ever gets staffed by a bartender on weekends. Please prove me wrong. The building doesn't even have nighttime security. Hopefully another homeless person doesn't access the building again and damage another TV in the theater room, which still hasn't been replaced. Skyline's response on the Google Maps review was a joke. It was essentially a stock response that I had not reached out to management prior to writing the review. So I edited my review to respond to their response. Also, I officially filed a small claims case against them yesterday. I'll keep everyone posted. Still no working tv's in the clubhouse. No tv in the theater room. No coffee bar, wine bar, and the speakeasy and restaurant are not close.

Same on all counts. It feels like fine dining, but I was shocked at the affordable price point. Food and service were on point.

I would give them the benefit of the doubt about delays if they didn't repeatedly tell tenants everything would be open by May of 2024, and now it might not be open by May of 2025. Just be upfront and honest man. I get it if things go wrong. Just don't give people false promises to sucker them into leases. And the Murphy bed situation is something else entirely. No excuses at all for that. That's low life bait and switch.

You totally dodged a bullet. I really regret it. The only positives are the people are really cool that work there. The lobby looks mostly complete. It's nice. I think Dogtopia if getting business too. The coffee bar is not even built yet. No progress on the speakeasy either. The tvs aren't working in the clubhouse. The theater room is locked with no TV because they didn't hire 24 security to stop a homeless dude from getting in and breaking it. Just embarrassing. Any bad review is more than deserved. And my lawyer says to go the small claims court route. So I'll do that for the max of $6,000. I'll let you know how that goes.

I just left a scathing review on Google Maps. It was very cathartic. I'm so curious to see their response, considering I have the truth on my side. I brought their star rating down from 4.1 to 4.0. Here's to hoping somebody brings them down below 4.0.
