Cleveland: HealthLine / Euclid Corridor
   Tears of extreme joy! :-) I remember when HOB opened on Euclid a few years ago...It was the first time in my life I could remember a new, healthy storefront on that street. I had just began school in Chicago and I was so excited to have something begin to resemble a Michigan Ave. or any healthy thoroughfare for that matter! Naysayers, fermez la bouche!

Cleveland: Downtown: The Avenue District
Prior to this development, this area of downtown was probably the most stagnant/depressing/desolate areas of downtown! Ok, so Reserve Square has stepped up a bit but the Chesterfield is buzzkill with its abandoned storefronts. Oh wait, there's that buffet... Can't wait to see this expand!

Cleveland: Festivals, Music Concerts, & Events
Depending on how you look at it, w/ the amount of construction/activity downtown OR lack thereof, 50-70k is a nice threshold. As downtown improves and attracts more people for various reasons and Igenuity's identity becomes more refined and renown, I can only expect the crowds to increase in the not too distant future. 5PM today (Fri)- "How technology shaped architecture"-in the halle building.

Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
Quick question" Could Huntington Building make a nice hotel ala old Statler or even Palmer House-esque? That gorgeous lobby needs to be something that can be appreciated 24/7, not 8-5, 5 days/week.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
awesome! I was headed to Cento last night around 1130pm and the Market Ave. patios were full of people (wine bar, GLBC, Fig, and Cento/BM around the corner)! Great to see especially on a quiet weeknight in Cleveland! Now if we just had some retail options...

Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
I'm so glad to see Squire Sanders and Cliffs lease existing spaces. As awesome as it would be to see 10 "skyscrapers" under construction at the same time, we don't have the luxury to allow these companies to play muscial chairs. Great news.

Cleveland: HealthLine / Euclid Corridor
More importantly, let's just hope there are so many people along Euclid, we won't even notice these signs! Imagine it... 8-)

Cleveland: HealthLine / Euclid Corridor
maybe we're expecting an influx of Charlotte tourists and need to remind them that tall buildings=downtown, not uptown. Nonetheless, downtown would suffice. Between PHS/CSU and Public Square, there's only a few stops anyways. One can't get too lost or confused. Can't wait to see the landscaping in the medians downtown and tenants in the 515 retail spaces!

Dayton Transit History
It's too bad more people would rather play russian roulette with a loaded machine gun than invest in rapid transit... :wtf:

Cleveland: University Circle (General): Development and News
Something of a higher quality would be nice as to cater to those with more money that we want spent in our city but...A hostel would be a great addition too. With all of our cultural institutions designed by noteworthy architects, plus the old and new neighborhoods, academic institutions, and easy public transportation access, this would be a great way to entice college-aged students to travel to CLE for a weekend or whatever. Especially with such close (and what used to be cheap) proximity to Chicago, DC, and Toronto, even foreign tourists could take a pit stop in CLE for a couple days. So many of us have done things like this when we lived/studied in Europe--I can really see Cleveland marketing itself like this. We can't duplicate the "big" cities and expect people to pass over NYC,Chicago, DC, etc. but we can prove to be a unique addition to any eastern U.S. tour.

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
As if driving eastbound over the Flats on the Shoreway isn't the coolest view of Cleveland already... Awesome!

man those north/northwest side views from the top floors must be amazing!

Cleveland: Development, Now & Then
I think we will see a totally different Cleveland in the next 5 years. If Chicago gets the 2016 Olympics, I definetly see us setting ourselves up for a very legimate 2032-2036 bid. Again, it's not the end result of the 6-8 mega projects we're hearing about, but it's what they will provoke-physically and socially. This is just the beginning!!!

Columbus: Bicycling Developments and News
Yet many fear investment in public transportation-especially rapid transit-is too big of a risk... :? $4 gallon gas and so many still don't get it...

Cleveland: University Circle: Uptown (UARD)
That's what I was thought for a second from the first rendering but what makes this different/better is that this has the potential-albeit based on some renderings, to attract tourists interested in architecture/urban planning--especially with MOCA and MCA anchoring this development (not to mention CMA and Co.) Take into account all of the cultural, medical, and educational institutions plus the Red Line and Healthline connections, Little Italy/Coventry adjacencies, and Rockefeller Park and we're ultimately left with this very unique, sustainable "city". This will attract the attention of any interested in the built environment and how fitting that Cleveland is at the center of this again (Burnham, Van Sweringens, even the Gateway complex). Oh, cleveland.com rejects weren't too bad actually except for one person who thinks that in order for this to be successful, it needs more parking... it's actually quite sad and disturbing...Maybe they were just trying to push our buttons but I don't doubt that there are some that actually think that...

Cleveland Design Competition
better late than never right? the website has some inactive links which hopefully is a sign of updating the info for this year's competition! Actually great timing as this would make a great studio project for the architecture programs at the region's universities! Not just in Ohio but Carnegie Mellon, Michigan, Detroit Mercy, UIC, IIT, UIUC-just to name a few! Alumns/students, do your part and advertise this to your respective schools! I will!

Cleveland: The Residences at 668 Euclid Avenue
As long as the parking lot to the east is built upon sooner rather than later, we won't even notice the demolished Dollar Bank Building.
