Cincinnati: Random Development and News
https://www.cincinnati.com/story/entertainment/dining/2019/11/06/cincinnati-inspired-hotel-restaurant-coming-downtown-edward-lee/2484644001/ That's where the new Edward Lee Restaurant is going right? It's his first concept in Cincinnati...he has won countless culinary awards so I'm excited to see with what he can come up with.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Development and News
Can you elaborate? Did an out of town developer want to redevelop fountain place? Just seems odd that if 3cdc is simply redeveloping the property by including office space on the upper levels, and new commercial tenants on the ground floor that it would take almost a year for any activity or movement since there purchase back in January. Seems counter productive towards 3cdc mission of "reactivating spaces and the urban core" by letting Cincinnati's most prime real estate sit completely vacant for so long now without any movement or progress on the site.

Can you take pics and post them?

Cincinnati: Downtown: Fourth & Walnut Center
You seem pretty well "in tune" with developement thats occuring downtown. Any clue what's taking so long with fountain place being still vacant after almost a year since 3cdc purchases the property?

Cincinnati: Fountain Square: Development and News
Between the Millennium Hotel Shutting down, Fountain Square going through Fifth Third Renovations closing the businesses there temporarily, and fountain place still completely vacant...one of the more active areas of downtown has become a total ghost town.

Downtown Los Angeles
There homeless population is Insanity, and their traffic is gut wrenching. It's an urban city that still has an obsession with cars, fast food drive throughs, and parking.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Convention Center / Hotel
Isn't the banks almost at 90% occupancy with their retail tenants. The banks is super popular on weekends and its been a hot minute since a business has closed and in just the past year opened a planet fitness, a Smoothie King, a classy night club/resturaunt in Galla Park, a great ferris wheel that still draws lines, and a pop up retail shop ran by Agar. So I'm not understanding this constant narrative of the banks is this disaster when I consistently see families and kids drawn to smale riverfront park, to the ferris wheel, to canados tacos, to taste of Belgium, etc...

Cincinnati: Downtown: Convention Center / Hotel
The enquirer reported millennium has a 30 percent occupancy rate, has a multitude of failed inspections, severely understaffed (100 employees for a nearly 900 room hotel?), and is a magnet for illegal and illicit activity. This place is a problem and neglected property. Not a performing asset.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Convention Center / Hotel
The old school for performing arts building at sycamore street was slated to be a hotel at one point
-
Cincinnati: Downtown: Convention Center / Hotel
Yeah but most out of town convention folks want a direct access HQ convention hotel. It's stupid.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Convention Center / Hotel
Agreed. If the county genuinely didn't care about the status of the millennium/need for an expanded convention hotel then why even begin the process of shutting down the millennium? You only put yourself Ina bigger hole and will only damage the convention center even further with the lack of a dedicated convention hotel on top of losing 900 hotel rooms. Not redeveloping this site quickly only hinders their whole mission.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Convention Center / Hotel
https://www.cincinnati.com/story/money/2019/11/12/millennium-hotel-shut-down-new-years-eve/2572571001/ Millennium Hotel will officially shut down December 31st. Hopefully the port authority comes up with a plan quickly, because you are essentially cutting ties with nearly 900 hotel rooms. I imagine this will be a slight strain for convention business until a redevelopment plan is put into work.

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
I agree, but the public infrastructure sucks in Cincy. Businesses need the parking in order to survive. It's a crappy reality but when most people who spend money at otr need a convienent place to park. It's a sad reality.

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
If I'm looking at the rendering correctly, based off the other parking garages labeled it does indeed look as if the garage main entrance will be off Walnut which is great for the surrounding businesses like Mecca and hopefully can push some type of redeveloement once more in that desolate area of Walnut.

https://www.3cdc.org/wp-content/blogs.dir/3/files/2018/09/brochure-final_Behlen_09.14.18_reduced.pdf Page 4/4 of the broshure confirms that 3cdc will build a parking garage on the kroger site...looking at the diagram I can't tell if the entrance will be from walnut or vine though?

Cincinnati: Pendleton: Development and News
It will be nice to reactivate that stretch of Pendelton..hopefully brewdog will give motivate some more businesses to land in that stretch of Pendelton.

Cincinnati: West End: Development and News
In the latest planning packet a developer is seeking a zone change from manufacturing to residential multi family in a former factory at 1101 York street with 29 residential units. I feel like the uptick in development in the west end has been hard to ignore lately... I know everyone was skeptical about the impact FCC would have with their west end stadium but I think it's becoming increasingly clear that FCC has indeed paved a path for renewed interest in West end developement.

Cincinnati: Pendleton: Development and News
I can't even visually picture how infill would look on that lot. I'm so used to that ugly parking crater being there, always creating this awkward gap between otr and Pendelton... It's going to be so strange seeing the fabric tied together between otr and Pendelton once again eliminating that awkward glaring gap.
-
Cincinnati: Pendleton: Development and News
I just hope this project is successful enough to warrant the developer to pursue the remaining sycamore lots in the future

Cincinnati: Downtown: Fort Washington Way Cap
This is promising but I wish there was an actual time table discussed. I feel like capping Fort Washington way has been discussed for years now

Cincinnati: West End: Development and News
I've noticed alot of new rehab proposals in the HCB packets as well for the West End. Seems like there is definitely a small wave coming along of reinvestment.

What was Findley Market like back in the 2000's? My parents were always afraid of otr so as a kid I never had a chance to go to Findley market until I became an adult and moved out. Is today Findley market better or the same as it was 15 years ago?
-
Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
I was just under the impression about Findley market and the accelator programs being offered there as well as Findley kitchen and Findley launch has creates a bridge for the many food Entrepreneurs in Cincinnati...maybe I was wrong?
