Cincinnati: Restaurant News & Info
troeros replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Restaurants, Local Events, & EntertainmentIt's not closed they are changing their business model to use the space for events and small parties and will still serve the same food. And it's not a restaurant, it's a grab and go with a few sit down tables, that is attatched to 3 points Brewery.

Cincinnati: Restaurant News & Info
troeros replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Restaurants, Local Events, & EntertainmentAccording to CHX Instagram they have closed day to day business but will still serve their food for events at 3 points. You would think beer and fried chicken would be a popular combination so it's slightly surprising things didn't work.

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
I can't tell you how many times a company would announce expansion plans but due to a poor fiscal quarter, or company restructuring, etc end up delaying/abandon those expansion plans. My own company, albeit much smaller compared to SW, had abandoned its own expansion plans of a second tower because of company restucturing of it's CEOs/CFO's etc. Not saying thats what will end up happening, but I always feel the most likeliest scenario is that SW stays in Cleveland but end up punting the expansion plans for a tbd date.

Awesome..guess that means they are close to wrapping up with the winter projected opening date for ghost baby.

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
Omg that's amazing news! I've been waiting for the beer cellar to be used for years now. Also adding a bar with dance music will add some much needed life to Vine St after 10-11pm when the restaurants start winding down.

Anyone familiar with Ghost Baby OTR? LinkedIn had a job post for a bar manager. Check out this job at Ghost Baby: https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/view/1533203070 It says in the job description it's a partnership between Agar and the Academy and will be a bar with live music... Not sure what the academy part means, but I'm wondering if this will be at the renovated commercial space in the art academy being rehabbed by Urban Sites? They plan on opening in winter, so it's Opening relatively soon if that's the case... Here's the instagram profile: I'm not sure what a juke den is either lol.

Is this overall lot larger than Mercer on Vine? It appears that way from first glance in the photo.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Court Street Developments and News
Anyone knows who owns that lot? Curious realistically how long it will take to be redeveloped. Seems like a rather big missing puzzle piece that would help connect the cbd to court street...

Because my experiences of what I've seen don't match your experiences does not mean I'm trolling. I've seen people countless times shoot up in the breezeway while walking back from late night reds games/bar hopping. They use it because it hides them from public eyes.

Cincinnati: BLINK | A Festival of Light & Art
Yes but your not explaining how your calculations are any better if you weren't able to take attendance in each zone during 7-11 from Thursday to Sunday. Your only argument is that it's impossible without any figures to back it up.

Cincinnati: BLINK | A Festival of Light & Art
I'm not sure how your calculation are any better. If you were in the Findley market zone how the hell do you know what's occuring in the Covington Zone. Another instance, blink runs from 7 to 11. What if I decided to come at 10pm while you were only there from 7 to 9?

A part of me wonders if Kroger would ever build a new HQ tower. That tower is from the 60s or 70s I believe so it's quite old. Also it's been quite well known that they are running low in space in the HQ building...maybe there are visions for a new modern HQ tower down the road.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Blonde (Eighth & Main)
I can't imagine that parking lot will still be an empty lot in 5 years time, so that makes sense. It would make good sense for that to be a new phase for the developer if this one sells quick enough.
-
Cincinnati: Downtown: The Blonde (Eighth & Main)
Wasn't there a second phase to this project with an additional infill structure? Or was that a different lot, I forget...

Cincinnati: West End: Development and News
So why are there still so many pockets of deep poverty in these areas if home prices are continuing to skyrocket? How do the poor people who reside in those areas continue to live there?

Is this basically the "OTR ripple effect" causing the spike, or does the FCC West end stadium play a role as well?

Cincinnati: Downtown: Gwynne Building
I might be naive but I truly think that I. 5-10 years time downtown could have enough population density to help support an entertainment zone inside of the mall with new resturaunts and shops. I know malls are dying but it would still be nice to have some type of national retail presence back in carew.

Right...I think allowing more liquor permits in these areas are great. Bars are easily the most profitable type of business for someone who wants to invest in a business. I think bars are a great "gateway" for further development and usually help bring in more hospitality businesses like resturaunts and cafes in the long term. That said court street would make a perfect open container district imo!
