  1. Does SW CEO have any connection to Cleveland whatsoever? If I recall correctly he spent the majority of his youth in larger US cities.
  2. Let him explain... and if he chooses to not explain/or follow with vague responses than just ignore and move on. It's quite simple.
  3. Guys lets not start attacking each other. If someone has information to share than let them share it and ask follow up questions, instead of bashing them on the spot because it's not something you want to hear. We have to be realistic here and accept 2 realities of SW staying in Cleveland and SW leaving Cleveland. Right now, both are very true.
  4. Pittsburgh is interesting... But would it not hurt SW that PPG is HQ there? Or maybe it would beneficial in some ways..
  5. So, is @Clefan98 insider report of SW being at 50/50 accurate? Looks like Dallas and SW have had some communication as well according to the latest news reports.
  6. @KJP Can you shed some light on the latest rumor?
  7. Yikes. I hate to be a Debbie downer but I sort of understand the Outlook of SW. Especially if they are strategizing their growth forecast and profit forecast for the long term.. Cities like Dallas, Atlanta, Charlotte really make so much sense, especially if they can get the incentives their seeking.
  8. I mean SW did publicly admit in a press release letter that they were considering all their options and now as @Clefan98 has indicated, it seems that was indeed not simply a, "throwaway" statement but rather a true indicator of what SW is searching for in regards to tax cuts/state assistance and isn't afraid to leave Ohio for a state that is willing to give them what they are searching for in their new HQ.
  9. I'm not sure what the job market is like in Cleveland, but I imagine SW corporate employees make a solid salary plus benefits. I would have to imagine many employees would begin seeking job opportunities but I also have to imagine many would consider relocating and staying with SW as well.
  10. Didn't they say the projected transition would happen, at the earliest, by 2023? I imagine any early announcement of relocation would be a good faith effort by SW to give their employees enough time to either: A) Relocate to the new HQ state. B) Give enough time for in advance for SW employees to begin seeking different job opportunities.
  11. I've heard some rumors running around from some people I trust (one works for Jack) about the next phase of Jack/Hard Rock. Apperantly there have been high levels executives of Hard Rock in and out of Jacks recently in anticipation of the hard Rock transition. Apperantly Hard Rock is indeed interested in filling one of the nearby lots with a branded Hard Rock Hotel which is why (among other reasons) for their recent visits. I'm curious what lot they are eyeing if this is indeed true?
  12. Dang! Never truly realized how large that lot was! Great to see parking filled
  13. I personally don't mind it. I feel like in alot of larger cities you tend to see art scribbled on the front of the building. Most of the artworks mutuals will eventually disappear once infill covers them up. It's kinda cool to see art work that's more in your face instead of on the side of a wall
  14. Some interesting tidbits.... https://www.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/news/2019/09/16/city-state-hotel-associations-support-millennium.html?iana=hpmvp_cinci_news_headline
  15. How long is it typically between the developer filing permits and seeing shovels breaking ground?
  16. Do we have an estimate on how many new workers the downtown kroger will bring? I imagine the otr Kroger was probably less than 50 employees based on the size and demand/departments of the store. Just a ballpark, but I'm guessing that the new Kroger will probably be greater than that. If I had to throw a rough number I would have to guess 150-175 full time/part time employees include the night stockers, maybe a tad more.
  17. I know the artist who did it. I believe it's an ArtWorks commissioned piece. I was curious if there was going to be a tenant but Apperantly it's just residential.
  18. So the developer who proposed the new mixed use developement at (near) 1200 race, which requires demo of 2 otr buildings has requested from the HCB a 12 month extension. I'm guessing this means the project is not dead as I presumed and was just a technical delay because of the screen printing shop.
  19. That response is so bland..not really familiar with the mayor, is he always so uninspiring?
  20. So either.... the office tenant is a much larger tenant and the office workers won't be moving in right away in order to construct the tower...or there is no new tower, and the building itself will just be reoccupied again (which is somewhat disappointing.)
  21. Being Closer to Corporate Retail Goliath's like P&G and Kroger is always a plus.. I personally think SW will stay put in Cleveland..I've also thought the same for many HQ's over the years, and there always tends to be a 11th hour shocking decision where the HQ decides to move to the most random city in america. So moral of the story is, who knows?
  22. Right, which is sad to some extent... It's basically saying, "Give us a reason why we should stay."
  23. I would argue that's not really true...
  24. If SW is truly considering all their options for their new HQ, including leaving Cleveland and the state completely then I'm not entirely sure what is wrong with that letter drafted by SW?
