  1. It's also of note that Jeff Berding said that it won't be just a stadium. Apparently they will also be developing the site next to the stadium as well for mixed use development. I'm guessing something along the lines of a mini banks with restaurants, bars, maybe a hotel, etc. This could be a huge win for Oakley in the long run. Yes, with our current administration nothing will change with Oakley. But what about 20-30 years down the road? (I'll be 40-50 years old at that point.) Perhaps a stadium, with an urban mixed use development site next to the stadium could be a nice blueprint for the future of oakley...and maybe, just maybe, FCC can create a cataylst for a revision of Oakley. Again, not now, maybe not 10 years from now, but definitely maybe in my future, and for the millenials of cincinnati like me.
  2. Fans want to see top level play and top international players from around the world playing for FCC. You will never have that by staying in the usl. The usl is very much akin to AAA baseball team. It's lower level of play and the young players that do succeed leave for the mls.
  3. Does anyone else think that a FCC stadium could potentially provide enough fuel to the fire to potentially create a more condense big box site, but that's more urban to the akin of something you would see in Brooklyn/NYC?
  4. Utterly shocked about Derek Bauman losing. If you followed his Facebook page you would see that the guy was everywhere. Knocking on doors, street corners, even had a massive billboard and was endorsed by so many. I have no idea how he lost. He invested almost more time and energy than 90 percent of the other council members running, yet lost by a massive margin. So confused.
  5. Cranely is simply dominating right now, wow. Sad, Simpson dropped the ball real bad.

This will probably kill Detroits bid for this round. Gilbert and company essentially lied about the usage of the prison site. He wanted the prison site, and said it was for an mls sss but when he actually he got the land, he was like sike! That will likely anger mls higher ups alot. Also in the latest renderings they stole alot of detroit city fc logos and branding. The owners of Detroit City FC are livid about this on there twitter.
  7. It was mentioned that this is part of phase 1 of the liberty st diet. Is there a possible chance for a phase 2 that stretches all the way through Pendleton?
  8. How much land is estimated to be returned for development? Also, if its the same amount of lanes, does that mean we are simply dealing with more wider sidewalks? Or will the lanes themselves be narrowed as well?
