  1. This funding should outrage any citizen of Ohio. How is it okay to allocate $600 million to HSG and yet less money is allotted towards education. HSG never considered that Cleveland couldn't afford a multi billion dollar new build nor truly wanted a new stadium. This was forced upon us and sold as a necessary need for the region. This reiterates that politicians do not care about the welfare of the majority and now just cater to the wealthy. I cant wait for all to realize how much parking and tickets will cost to attend a Cleveland Browns' game in Brook Park.
  2. I truly hope Ohio politicians read our comments and realize the absurdity of granting the $600 million to HSG has little benefit to what we already have. This project is nothing more than a money grab for a billionaire with little regard for the region.
  3. Updated facade from the construction cam https://app.oxblue.com/cameras/60d486ce45de63c7a4a4a944622a8a5d?openlink=Clevelandco/City-Club-Apartments
  4. Has the city begun to look at costs to remove the existing stadium from the lakefront or at least negotiate with HSG to contribute to the cost to do that? Any estimates so far? If it isn't removed can the stadium be reconfigured or reduced in size to accommodate ot our team ther sport's needs? I still hold hope that this stadium can be the home for the Browns As a side note, I live in Los Angeles and ran into a gentleman wearing a Browns hoodie and asked if he was from Cleveland. He was from Columbus. I asked him his thoughts on the proposed enclosed stadium in Brook Park. He stated that was a horrible idea and football in Cleveland was meant to be played in the elements. Somehow the Haslams and HSG have forgotten what and how the majority feel about our team. It has never been about fancy and new. The NFL owners have lost touch with their fans
  5. There is so much potential to make our lakefront great and the envy of other cities.
  6. If the "Modell Law" is ruled to be enforced how would HSG respond to a move to Brook Park. I wish Roger Goodell would address this rather than support Jimmy and Dee to lobby for their plan
  7. While I am happy to see that the master plan has evolved to a new build I would really like to see the concourses rebuilt from scratch over time. This plan should show what is possible as a cohesive plan. The space between the new terminal and concourse B is odd and isn't the most convenient to get to. Hopefully more renderings will surface of what is planned for the interior spaces.
  8. Here is another billionaire whom is doing the right thing and not asking for any money from taxpayers to renovate The Honda Center in Anaheim California. The cost is $1.1BN. And they don't even own Honda Center. The city of Anaheim owns it. Yet in Ohio HSG is expecting us to pay for half the cost for his project that nobody asked for or considered what the region could afford. https://www.sportsbusinessjournal.com/Articles/2025/04/29/anaheims-honda-center-getting-privately-funded-11b-renovation/
  9. Ultimately HSG will raise ticket prices and parking prices for attending any activity at a Brook Park location to fulfill their needs to pay the State bonds they are seeking. This is a bait and switch for the public to finance and line Jimmy and Dee Haslam's pockets without them ever taking on the responsibility themselves. Shouldn't the 50 million they set aside if their estimates come in wrong just be used to reduce the amount they ask by that amount? Where are the estimated costs for all the road infrastructure Brook Park and HSG require for that site? Those numbers aren't included in any budget yet and whom pays for that?
  10. This was what was originally proposed for The Malls when it was being imagined as a whole development. The minimal was executed but many of the items were considered to add later on. Unfortunately nobody has raised the monies for completing any further enhancements These plans were developed back in 2014 https://www.mclv.co/projects/past/connecting-downtown-cleveland-master-plan.
  11. I enjoy that Public Square has been reinvented within the past 10 years. Sometimes it is difficult to understand why the malls haven't been activated to extend the public's uses. This is where the next focus should be placed. I never understood why public amenities and activations were eliminated from inclusion on the large open spaces. Talks happened about playgrounds and basketball courts but nothing has come to fruition other than some art installations which draw little attention.
  12. This shows that our government is all for billionaires wishes rather than helping those whom need true financial assistance. Shame on our elected officials whom are pushing this through.
  13. With all the new tariffs happening has anyone heard of increased cost projections for the Brook Park site?
  14. I wish the spaghetti of wires could be addressed along Cleveland's street grid. I also am not a fan of the corrugated metal cladding that is surrounding the windows. The townhomes are nice but the scale of them are at odds with the rest of the development site
  15. https://www.facebook.com/thedroneohio Drone Ohio's Facebook page has some incredible construction images. The perspective put a great sense of scale to this expansion If you follow the link there is a set of 28 photos
