Brook Park: New Cleveland Browns Stadium
I finally figured out what it reminds me of. Elon Musk's Cyber Truck! No wonder why I hate it so much. Also note how HSG no longer touts a Super Bowl as an event to happen if the stadium is in Brook Park. Hw does HSG believe that stating The Modell Law is unconstitutional help their cause when it effectively helped them win the ownership to the Columbus Crew? At the end of the day the law was to help Cleveland in efforts against owners whom insist on manipulating the public from losing their team outside the city limits. HSG will always look like they are trying every angle to work around what is in the best interest for the fans Again this project benefits nobody but the Haslams. Every business owner downtown should be interviewed on what they have invested believing downtown is a shared environment that all can profit rather than plucking the team from that core

A fascinating angle that makes Key Tower disappear

Cleveland: Downtown: Playhouse Square Development and News
Does anyone know if the cornice on The Bulkley Building will remain white or is that just a coating to remove years of grime? It is hard to tell what is going on from posted photos

Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
Everyone has forgotten that the lakefront was more in use when the Cleveland Indians shared Municipal Stadium with the Cleveland Browns. If the stadium remains on the lakefront I wish the city could negotiate with the soccer league to make the stadium multi-purpose. Bring back the use for more than the fall season of 8-10 games. I don't think we can afford to keep building and maintaining sports facilities at these costs

Brook Park: New Cleveland Browns Stadium
One glaring point in the sales pitch is that the NFL has never stated if the roofed stadium is built a Super Bowl will be held in Brook Park. Don't fall for it Cleveland. Where are the actual costs for tickets and parking we will have to pay at this facility? Many will be sticker shocked Also, if everyone is against watching football in the elements than why are all the surrounding developments an outside mall?

Brook Park: New Cleveland Browns Stadium
@KJP Thanks always for great informative articles. This entire process has bypassed any public input and the trust that our public elected officials are looking out for the public's best interest looks to erode even further with this push to approve the mov etc Brook Park. I fail to see how this proposal is in Cleveland's best interest to be 12 miles away from our downtown. HSG's plan is nothing more than a money grab for themselves. If HSG truly cared about Cleveland why would they not understand what The Modell Law was intended to prevent. I for one will never forget how it felt to have lost our team because of a greedy owner whom didn't understand or care about the fans whom invested time and money within an organization. The narcissistic nature of these owners is disgusting. I want someone to force HSG to show the public the lakefront renovated stadium plans and estimates so we can decide what is best for our region rather than inflated ideas and numbers being presented as facts.

Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
That may be true but it has been the only reason many of us ever went to downtown or that part of the lakefront over the years. This goes back to years before RRHF or GLSC existed. Removing the stadium also removes those active days and any other concert or use for 60,000 plus visitors to the downtown area. To me that is a major loss

Brook Park: New Cleveland Browns Stadium
My fear with all of this is nobody appears to have a plan B if the financing doesn't happen for Brook Park. I don't feel Haslam will just say oh well

Cleveland: Which Project Will Be Next and Why
I feel Bridgeworks will be the next project to start construction. As much as I am not a fan of the final iteration I do hope it begins

Cleveland: Downtown: Progressive Field
Maybe some will view it as a rating for the renovations done over the years! LOL

Cleveland: Downtown: Progressive Field
I don't necessarily think the "C" in the upper deck was money well spent. Once bodies are in those seats it isn't seen or if half filled what will that feature look like
-
Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
I do wish that money was spent to replace the lost trees around the splash fountain and additional restroom/changing facilities were provided to the visitors to Public Square. This "shack" doesn't seem necessary as it appears the same effect could happen on a led kiosk sign. No AC or heat is provided inside this metal box. Lastly, it just appears too gimmicky and doesn't blend with the surroundings.

Cleveland: Rocket Arena (Gund Arena)
I am happy to hear the name change to Rocket Arena. FieldHouse never felt right.

Cleveland: Retail News
Downtown retail and retail in general is a tricky business. We all love the nostalgia for brick and mortar locations but we all love the convenience of online shopping. Everyone is figuring out how to make it work.

Brook Park: New Cleveland Browns Stadium
Reading their motion just proves the arrogance of HSG wanting everyone to agree that they know best what Clevelanders want. Their argument this development will bring "major international events" that wouldn't come to the area if their stadium isn't built is speculative with no real proof of any such bookings. The development surrounding a roofed stadium is not a proven destination for use 365 days a year. I don't see people flocking to this location as an entertainment destination other than some chain restaurants and retail stores. The more I read and hear HSG's lawsuits to prove The Modell Law unconstitutional the more I detest them. This law was designed to protect us from ever going through what an owner can do without caring about the fans. I do hope the law is upheld and maybe we can get an owner whom cares about a winning team and not just lining their pockets

Brook Park: New Cleveland Browns Stadium
If Haslam expects 100 percent of the parking profits should go to himself than he and his investors should pay for the entire complex without public subsidies. I'm tired of the handouts given to these billionaires whom say this is all for the benefit for us.

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Should we rename "The Shack" to "Private Square"?
-
Brook Park: New Cleveland Browns Stadium
Even though the lease at the lakefront stadium is to expire in 2028, why isn't their discussion to extend a lease per an additional season as needed to complete at the best ideal location rather than settle on Brook Park as the only viable option? If we are all comfortable with a better location and "additional costs" are reasonable in an extended timeline why rush this just so Jimmy can get his way with our team
-
Brook Park: New Cleveland Browns Stadium
I would like Ronayne to state what has been discussed with HSG regarding the lakefront location option. Everything about Brook Park seems shady

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
It looks fine. I do wish it wasn't set back from Public Square. There was something really nice before the buildings were torn down for the planned Ameritrust Tower. Public Square felt balanced.
-
Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
@KJP Is there really a need for the tent on Public Square for the future grand opening ceremony? I would think the headquarter's complex will be completed within that timeline. The "shack" should hold the event

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Does anyone know how complete The "Shack" is? When will the exterior landscape begin construction?

Brook Park: New Cleveland Browns Stadium
The public needs to pay attention to certain words that are used as selling points. "Could" and "should" are not guarantees of what will happen. They are merely used to make one think it is possible as a reason to buy into this. This development is nothing new to any new concept that already exists in Cleveland. All it does is to borrow from other ideas that worked and concentrate all profits for The Haslams and their business partners. The concept of it being great for Cuyahoga County and Cleveland is a false narrative unless true facts are presented. No guarantee of a Super Bowl, conventions, NCAA Tournaments are locked in . All speculative. Another oddity for me is the idea of a domed stadium. Yet all the surrounding development is an outdoor mall!
