  1. How is the new urban format Meijer's "Fairfax Market" doing?
  2. The seat color change doesn't bother me knowing that the remaining green seats will be changed during the next offseason. Also note the color variation isn't very noticeable when bodies fill the seats.
  3. Has anyone heard any news on this project? Did the city approve demolition permits for the garage?
  4. They'll also have more time to figure out where they can add additional Progressive Field signage. LOL!
  5. I wish there was a construction cam to watch this being built.
  6. I wonder what others think of this developments set back. I wish it would have aligned up with the same as the other buildings along Euclid Avenue. I really can't wait to see this building completed and occupied.
  7. If you zoom into @ragarcia photograph the top vertical window mullions appear to protrude further out which probably contain the LED lighting elements!
  8. Shouldn't this approved billboard be constituted as filling the last of the 3 billboards? This location is double sided. Technically he now has the ability to have up to five if the last location is also double sided.
  9. I really don't get how he gets 3 billboards for the removal of the one at Irishtown Bend with his ultimate choice where he gets to put them.
  10. I wonder if any of the exterior lighting at the top of the building is built into the structure or will be added afterwards
  11. Great reporting @KJP! I truly believe Ohio City is a prime example of what we lost sight of during the mall and big box store eras. A sense of distinct Main Street communities that base their needs with their surroundings. Walkable communities that can be sustained with a variety of everyday needs without having to travel for miles to get to.
  12. What would be The Haslam's plan if the county and cities refuse to extend the sin tax to help finance either stadiums? With The Art Modell Law in play could Clevelanders buy the team and just play in the current stadium as is? The Green Bay Packers have managed well playing in there stadium for many years without complaints
  13. All in all, these improvements have made a big improvement from the shipping containers era! I am glad to see the investments made to the ballpark. A couple of notes/wishes I would love is that the main concourse renovations that were made in the past correct the brick tone to go back to the beige bricks rather than the red brick used. The signage throughout the ballpark had the same font style throughout. Not a huge fan of The Guardians new font. It doesn't look very refined and they seemed not to have updated the existing signage from year's past. The added awnings in the upper right deck and the left deck appear to be pitched at different angles/heights. I wonder what the reasoning was for this. A minor note for me are the banners hanging off the back of the light towers in the pennant district. They are odd to see from the field since the information is viewed backwards. A bit distracting and an unnecessary addition The main test for this season is to see how well these areas work and if they will make any refinements to them going forward.
  14. This post of a 360 view of Public Square has an odd feature. Whomever created this has completed the Sherwin Williams glass facade! https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=946510350809017

  16. 100% agreed! I understand the need for Progressive to have the benefits for naming rights. I just don't need multiple, repetitive signage on every free wall space. The new Cleveland Guardian font is not the best design choice. The " Pennant District" shows that. I would have loved all the additional monetary funds spent on Progressive Field signage and seat color changes had gone for upgraded designs that didn't feel like value engineered add ons. I just feel we look at these adjustments and remember how great this park was and nobody states this as an improvement over what we had prior to 2014 All of the renovations that the Dolan's have made are questionable. I will be interested how it is perceived from the public once the season begins Does anyone know why Manica replaced NBBJ as the architect? NBBJ's proposed upgrades/design showed an integrated design that really worked for the entire upper deck. was it because the design was too expensive and if so why didn't they figure that out prior to presentation to us. Manica's design, while ok, just looks value engineered.

  18. It's not bashing. It's sharing updates that were made and what to expect when you see Progressive Field for this season. I'm excited to see the ballpark renovations that have been implemented and think many items are a great solution. I can't wait for the second phase to be completed for the 2025 season!
  19. Lanceaerial's instagram post show the led lighting being tested on the exterior! It's a bit garish when running through multiple colors . I don't mind the solid blue https://www.instagram.com/p/C5FFuGDp_z6/
  20. I read somewhere that the "Hotel Cleveland" rooftop sign might not happen anymore. https://www.clevescene.com/news/hotel-cleveland-after-year-of-80-million-renovations-will-open-anew-in-april-43758806 "As for replicating the Hotel Cleveland's original signage—an electrical, stick-built one overlooking Public Square—McGee and Romance seemed slightly hesitant to confirm. Designs are still be finalized, they said. We're still working out the costs, they said."
  21. How does any developer want to invest/build since the land under the existing Cleveland Browns Stadium can never be owned?
  22. When The Haslam's introduced their vision for a revitalized lakefront plan, which included the land bridge concept, why wasn't more of the land surrounding the stadium designed or considered valuable for a ballpark village that they could invest in? Why did The Haslam's develop this plan if they really didn't want to stay on the lakefront? Did they consciously walk away from involving themselves in conversations or did the city decide that. As of now, I hope that whomever is finalizing plans for the north coast lakefront they develop a plan of what replaces the stadium.
  23. DRONE OHIO's Facebook page has some amazing photographs of the renovation progress! It appears they are adding pennant style banners in the upper right field area. They appear to be attached to the back side of the light towers. I am surprised they went with metal siding that is reminiscent of the shipping containers on the upper deck buildings. They renovations are an improvement over the last renovation but these just look like additions/subtractions to a once great ballpark. Enjoy the link. https://www.facebook.com/100044113059848/posts/960732425407184/?paipv=0&eav=Afa3jpBaVHFg0ggU5ZtYU2xMzs9qcW5YkL5W97S8isK-0xp-wuQYwpSApKvbgLDL7xM&_rdr
  24. I would like to know how comparable domed stadiums are used throughout the year to justify the idea it is used continuously during that time. I get why a domed stadium could be needed for rain or winter weather but a dome isn't needed for most of spring/summer/fall seasons. All this Brook Park talk is a money grab by The Haslams' for their own personal gain
