CLEVELAND - Holiday get-together December 23rd @ 1pm
I'm sorry. I was addressing my brother Chris. Now go back to your godly duties, or whatever it is you do.

One-way to Two-way street conversions - good idea or bad?
A former ODOT engineer wrote an letter to the editor of the Delaware Gazette several weeks back claiming that ODOT suggested that the City of Delaware make US 36 (William St) & OH 37 (Central Ave) each one way from their merge on the east end of town to Houk Rd (on the westside of town). This concerns the latest economic development controversey in Delaware (Evidently there are plans afoot, again, for some mini mall out on 36/37 east, and city council is against allowing it to happen because traffic is a pain out there twice a day)

Columbus: General Transit Thread
It's been a couple of years since I last visited Reynoldsburg (maybe before I left for Louisiana), But Reynoldsburg of the 21st Century certainly looks worse than the Reynoldsburg of 1982-3 that my parents had us do a "pit stop" (One year for my parents between East Claridon and Marengo) at.

Merry Christmas from Urban Ohio
I gave out artwork to my parents (several concert posters I designed for Baton Rouge events, mostly in December), a video game to the middle brother, and several Dune books to my youngest brother. In return I got two bags of candy and gift cards to Best Buy & Kohls. :|

Cars & Vehicles Discussion (History, etc)
I didn't realize that tripple trailors were now allowed on the Pennsy Turnpike. Has Ohio banished them from our turnpike?

Remind me to explain, again, why my parents haven't left Morrow County after 23 1/2 years, at the "Christmas Mixer."

10 - 25 year old maps
I too would be interested, though I'd most likely cherry-pick through those maps. I'm currently in Central Ohio for the next two weeks. I'd be driving through Cincy, most likely late morning, when I go back to Baton Rouge once 2007 starts.

Cincinnati: UC Grad Urban Planning program 4th in Midwest, 18th in Nation
This is where the cliche, "Two wrongs don't make a right" comes into play. UC students (past & present) =

If you've noticed...as you post more, you move up in stars, as well as, tower affiliation. Your status as National City Bank right now reflects where you stand on the posting spectrum (ie I am Freedom Tower, the tallest bldg in the US and the highest status on the forum). Well LAH-dee-DAH! The system rewards one-liners and newspaper article postings.

About time someone, other than ColDay, used that word around here.

Columbus: Innerbelt News
You can always going back to the first page of this thread to see what we thought things would be back in 2004. Otherwise I thought the boulevard option was for I-70, from Miller-Kelton to 3rd/4th St. No mention of doing anything of the like for I-71, from I-670/Spring St to I-70.

Anyone think of running for office?
One the commissioners, for Delaware County, was elected in his mid-twenties (around 2000) (of course I can't remember his name at this moment)

Columbus: Innerbelt News
Michelle May has been the spokeswoman for District 6 (if not all of ODOT) for 5 years. As for the Boulvard idea, that was considered (it was an early frontrunner) and discarded back in 2004.

Who wants to help Hayward....
You could drop that into an Ann Arbor or Chicago montage and no one would know the difference. :-)
