  1. Yeah, within 5 minutes of hearing Bo's death, the Dead S. went from being my favorite bandname to my least favorite. :-( Damn you Michigan!!!!! :whip:

Low scoring game. Pittsburgh turns the ball over too much. Cleveland punts the ball too much. But yes, U-G-L-Y.

except me. Who do you think you are?!?! MayDay!?
  4. Someone call Ytown News & Views. Give him another town to save with the "glory of the republican party."
  5. Maybe the next contest could be to see who can superimpose faces of urbanohio posters on that mural (with the winner being the most realistic)

What would you prefer? Gears or benches.
  7. Sorry, I can't respect any university or college that doesn't have a Geography program. UM just hasn't been complete since 1983. Of course you can go 10 miles east on US 12 to Yipslanti for that kind of study.
  8. My advisor (here @ LSU) spends her free time back in Los Angeles restoring old cars with her boyfriend (they're all but married). So she'll drive one of her "restored" cars from LA to La twice a year (I-10 east in August, I-10 west in May/June).
  9. Just think if we could merge the second half of the Bengals-Chargers game with the first half of the Bears-49ers game from 3 weeks ago (Bears dropped 41 on the Niners in the first half of their game). :-D
  10. True. Ohio State doesn't riot after their basketball team plays (win or lose).

Well, Nashville has been ripping off Memphis since the 1930s. It's one of the few thing they know how to do there in Nashville. How is it a rip-off museum? My in-laws often suggest it as a place to go when we're in Nashville. I have never really been that interested (Johnny Cash is the only thing about country that I find interesting). Nashville thinks that Memphis is one step up from Haiti. Guess what came first? "Beale St" or "Musicians Row." Beale St begats Musicians Row by 30 years...minimum. What came first....The Orphium Theatre or the Grand Ole Opry? The Orphium...by 40 years! Beale Street was the first "urban" home for Blues. Nashville knew they weren't going to attract the black population like Memphis did, so they focused on "hillbilly" music by the rural whites living in the Appaliachians and molded that into Country Music. That's why I call Nashville a rip-off city.
  12. So how much longer till the Browns surpases the Bengals in victories this year?
  13. Michigan plays well enough for a first. The first team to lose to OSU TWICE in the same season. I want to see OSU-Michigan X 2 (though it means no Rose Bowl for either school)
  14. Nice contrast of the "dry river" and then all the fountains in Tulsa. Though I think they've been fighting a drought (not that hasn't stopped them from wasting water evidently) And we figured the other person in your photos was with you back in group 1.
  15. Was the Saint Louis Bread Company formerly Einstein Bros Bagels or Panera Bread? :? Their logo/artwork looks familiar.
  16. Couldn't you have waited till you got past Richmond to mention Indy? 8-)
  17. There's no rainbows. Thus it sucks. Colors are good. And I second what Kingfish wrote above.
  18. Well, don't give him the piece of your mind that you always use. Give a piece you seldom use.

^Dewey Stokes got voted out? :? I thought he was going to be re-elected.
  20. I could care less about your beer bets. What I want to know is, are you still planning to leave Ohio (like you threatened to do if your fellow Republican, Ken Blackwell, was elected)?
  21. We need to switch this over to the 700 WLW thread. I can still do 75% of all the 'Sports or Consequences' cheers (12 years after I last listened to it)
  22. To hell with COTA! C-bus needs to start funding their libraries again so they can be back in front of Cleveland (and the rest of Ohio and beyond) again!
  23. You'd be right ColDay, since I would be the Pot and you the (self proclaimed not-so-great) Kettle. :box:
  24. ^ so what's the difference between a "vintage" kettle versus just your "plain run-of-the-mill ol'" kettle? :?

...The Dead Schembachlers. Though the Ballad of Mike Landry doesn't work for me as an Irish durge. :-(
