  1. ^^ Damn.........! :|
  2. Wow. ColDay answered that one fast. Takes a Geekcon to know one evidently. :-D

Don't you hate it when vents just randomly appear while you're walking the streets of Cleveland? How you people get by without sprained ankles or knots to your forehead is amazing to me. Then again, vents in Columbus and Baton Rouge seemed to be better placed than what you folks describe up in Cleveland. :-D :wink2:

    That's what Columbus did.
  5. Can we start calling Italian Village "The Heart of the Heart of the Heart of it All"? By the way, my apartment is the Heart of Italian Village... So does that make you the heart of your apartment? (which means your heart is the heart of the heart of the heart of the heart of the heart of the heart of the heart of the heart of it all?)

Move the Cleveland stuff to the Indians thread! :whip: Geesh.
  7. So what's your point Jeff? If I can't trust anyone, why should I trust you?

    There aren't Seven Hills there anymore. {ducks}
  9. I wonder how Knoxville looked after LSU pulled out a victory up there Saturday.
  10. Worked at WTXF (Fox29) from 1996-1999, then went to the agency side. I dont miss that business at all, but miss some of the people. Fox was young then and exciting. Are you from PHL? In spirit. :banger: No, my mom is a Main Line girl and her brothers still live out in that area.
  11. I guess I could stand to scan my Beaumont, Tx photos I took in August. I didn't find that city that impressive. Then again, it's smaller than Baton Rouge (which itself is half the size of Columbus)
  12. No doubt we lack marketing, but I don't think that's the case for the zoo. Jack Hanna makes rounds on late night shows quite a bit. Aside from that, I think streetcars will help in the sense that you won't have to seek these places out on your own, since one can just hop on the streetcar and it'll take you there. Take you where? If the Streetcar only goes up and down High Street and there are no visual cues to suggest you stop, or get off, what good does it do you? With this discussion about promotion. How about a good MAP. So you can have a clue as to where you want to go and a route to get there. Then you can worry about how to get there.
  13. Late Lunch? 1 or 1:30 PM for me
  14. Wait...it takes you that long on Route 315? God, you really are a fish. I'm surprised he drives slower on 315 than he does on 670. P.S. Kingfish, the shortcut is using Hard Rd from Sawmill to Riverside Dr. Don't bother with US 33 through Dublin. Too many traffic lights (unless you want to go the other way and drive through Murfield Village to Glick Rd east).
  15. Seg is about as exciting as waiting in line at the bank. He's only good playing the straight man to someone else's over the top act.
  16. ^^ I think I was still in HS the last time I heard Tom Dinkel's name. Now can I get an Andy MacWilliams reference?
  17. Kingfish must have missed the "secret short cut" so he would not have to use Oh 750/Powell Rd. :-P Otherwise, I agree with ColDay. The only way it takes 40 mins. to get to the Zoo would be going by COTA Bus, bike, or have your starting point be 30+ miles away from the Zoo.
  18. No they didn't. I thought MayDay put up a firewall so that anyone under the age of 12 couldn't read the forum here.
  19. I can beat that. Zero for the last 18 years (3 in Baton Rouge, 2 in Clintonville, 13 years in the Ashley/Kilbourne/Marengo neverworld)

Go to the City Photos page and in the search box type in "Dayton" and "ColDayMan" You should get his Dayton threads. Also try the same thing with the Dayton suburbs/neighborhoods (use their actual names) with Jeff and PigBoy if you want to learn about Dayton.

As long as ColDay is around, that joke will never get old.
  22. Same thing I told ColDay concerning a Columbus meet. The closer to Christmas the event, the more likely I can RSVP (though weather would be a larger factor for me showing up in Cleveland compared to Columbus)
  23. Mind me asking you which station you worked at (assuming it was in Philly)?
  24. And Rand McNally keeps showing a proposed bypass of Nashua that has been off the books for 20-30 years now on their New Hampshire road maps.
  25. I'll be waiting for the all-inclusive interview on the AAG website, Andy. :-D  Congrats on the recongnition. (how much did working with someone outside of acadamia, on that project (Cincyroads) help or hurt you in the "eyes" of the judges?)
