For the Springfield contengent... Tommy Tucker - musician (wrote High Heel Sneakers [his only hit, in 1962]) And a debatable one for Cleveland... Robert Lockwood Jr. (musician) Born in Arkansas (and noted musician from "the delta" and Chicago), but has called Cleveland home for the last 43 years (and he's only 92).

I nominate Colday & MayDay to head the Columbus and Cleveland networks respectively.
  3. T-I-G-E-R-S.......whoops, wrong state (university). :-D (not that I should be bragging about my current academic home after their football team's last performance :x)
  4. Because our "parties" have moved into more bars and other things. Plus, we aren't in the middle of nowhere. So Campus Partners did have a silver lining after all? :-)
  5. That's a toughy. :-o If you are using Photoshop, try the clone brush and pick a spot along the sunset that is similiar in appearance to where you need to fill in. Otherwise, if you're photographic savvy, find a photo with (the same?) a sunset or closest proximate you can find, scan it and then cut and paste it into the photo you're trying to edit. That's the best I can suggest.

Would most people rather go to a weekend in New Orleans or a weekend in St. Gabriel? St. Gabriel would be those smokestacks in the distance...

They would put the "Win" in Windsor. --Colday commenting about moving the Pistons from the suburbs to the innercity.

    Thanks, tadpole.
  14. Bob Greene, (former?) columnist for the Chicago Tribune, reprinted his HS diary (he grew up in Bexley) as a book. I believe the setting was the mid 60s (it was published in the late 80s)

The preferred term, I believe, is "broads." I like "broad" Streets. But not broad roads.
  18. You don't think there would be beurocracy if education was a private enterprise?
  19. Had to laugh. Tom Barlow, owner of bloggingOhio, e-mailed this morning asking permission to use a photo I took of the arches in their non-working state, in reference to one of his blog entries.

Yes. Planned obsolescence never goes out of style.
  21. I'm disapointed that you have no photos of the Eagles drubbing of the Packers last night. :-D P.S. Yeah, you want Chester Colday...

Looks like it was only 1200 words. Sorry. :-D
  23. And that's why you're nice....Honestly.
  24. I haven't watched Jericho yet. Is it NW or SW of KC?
  25. Nah. It's Chiller. I just poped up MS Word and checked both fonts. Comic Sans is "cleaner" than Chiller. (I just can't post a comparison here. The computer lab I'm at doesn't have Photoshop for me to use :-() Needless to say, you guys are harping over KJP's work for unwarented reasons.
