  1. Well, if it was torn down, then this is one of the stranger rebuilds I've ever seen. (I took this photo Monday evening)

  4. Spin Magazine visited Cleveland recently, and talked to the owners of The Grog Shop, Beachland Ballroom, Blue Arrow Records, and photographer Janet Macoska about how COVID is effecting their businesses. https://www.spin.com/featured/cleveland-music-survival/?fbclid=IwAR14OjrIKLaPdP9EV9DhZgPLDZc3hZhxReTTuC4zn4jFL9UlChX19_VVt9o

Which reminds me, I've got my "quarantine roadtrip" photos, from around Ohio, I could go post in the Photo section here.
  6. Did Patrik Laine purchase it? (I don't believe Jack Roslovic's salary could cover it)
  7. Sort of like the 17 year cicadas, isn't time to re-debate Morse-Bethel as well?
  8. Columbus Arts Festival and the Jazz & Ribs Festival have both been put off for this year. https://www.nbc4i.com/news/arts-council-cancels-2021-columbus-arts-festival-sets-date-for-2022/

If it were that easy, ColDay would be governor of Ohio, I'd be lieutenant governor, and Mecklenborg would be exiled to Nashville.

I thought I saw, on either WCMH or WBNS, that Husted also declined to run for Senate. But I did see that former C-bus mayor Michael Coleman is interested in running for the senate seat.
  11. A vague description of what has gone down at WWCD over the last 4+ weeks. Not sure what this Columbus Alive article explained. 🤔 https://www.columbusalive.com/news/20201123/inside-story-of-how-randy-malloy-brought-cd1025-back-on-air-as-cd929?template=ampart&__twitter_impression=true&s=04&fbclid=IwAR1tk8OHo6_jCGxkxfNCqfk-_sjwXJfKkhnpdgXboGytx3HaTdlFhbpS-4E
  12. That someone would be me. (chuckles) Actually in reading the comments on WWCD's facebook page, WDLR will be leaving 92.9 for 96.7 on January 1st.

The website Historic Map Works has a digital copy of the 1957 version of the Commerical Survey map(s) for Cleveland
  15. Truth be told, that CD 101/102.5 lasted this past decade is a minor miracle (and most likely due to the sacrifice of many).

Mind you, the clearing of the riverbanks was hasten by the 1913 flood. Not sure if those structures (next to Broad Street and south of Town Street) survived the flood, or were built afterwards (only to be torn down again).

Due in part of the Republicans split over Ryan Smith and Householder for House Speaker. So, Larry went across the aisle and did some horse trading, and maybe illegal cash payments, to get elected. That is why we had relative political peace in Columbus this year and last.

Do we still have the archives, for this forum, going back to Householder's first exit in 2005? A FB acquaintance of mine thought Larry left the statehouse the first time under a cloud as well.
  19. From an aesthetics point-of-view, only thing this place is lacking is Ohio roadmaps as wallpaper.
  20. I guess ODOT could widen US 27 through Butler County, for Cincy traffic. Not sure what could be done to improve the drive from Oxford to Columbus, beyond moving one town, or the other, to the same side of Dayton.
  21. Morrow was added in 2000.
