So what are they planning to do (concerning the old CSX track) at Henry St? They already took out the old one lane overpass last year. Grade it for an intersection?

NCAA Men's Basketball: General News & Discussion
Cincy is getting 1st/2nd round games in the immediate future. P.S. The NCAA must still be bent with the Women's Final 4 that was held in Cincy several years back as well.

John Glenn Columbus International Airport
I've seen photos of the old, old airport (I think it was ODOT's website of all places). It was 2 steps above Kitty Hawk. But that was true for 90% of all airports prior to the Great Depression. Edit. Here's a link to the photo I was thinking of; http://www.odotonline.org/photoArchive/PhotoArchiveImages/Large/columbusairpt.jpg Supposedly the photo was taken in 1947 and the description is Columbus Airport. Knowing ODOT's incompetence concerning properly identifying what they have in their archive, this could at best be Bolton Field, at worse a random lumber yard. :|

You mentioning this event so all the anti-car folks here can go "PETA" on the car-show attendees?

Why suburbs will never have tall trees
I thought you were going to mention the Westerville story about the company that moved a tree (not one of those little jobby dos you see in the parking lots of Walmart, Lowes, or Home Depot, but at least a 100 years old)

Gay Marriage: Jon Stewart destroyed Bill Bennett in this debate :)
I don't have cable anymore so I can't see it. On the flip side, I've been told that the Daily Report is looking to feature a climatologist to debate Hurricanes with. (They contacted one of the professors here at LSU, who broke this to us this past Friday)

General Roads & Highway Discussion (History, etc)
They're "old" photographs. The head-on shot is from 1999, the length shot is from 2003. I wasn't as concerned about the rust as I was the nomenclature. (Spelling be damned)

General Roads & Highway Discussion (History, etc)
No, I'm not trying to take a gratioutious shot at Youngstown. Another webpage referenced a photo I took [see below](maybe it was the other half of roadfan, but most likely it was me) of the Oh 193 bridge over the Mahoning as the "Blue Bridge." I just never heard that term used. I mean, the bridge is blue and evidently rehab has either just, or will shortly, finished on the structure. So is the "Blue Bridge" a common term in Youngstown, or just a one-off quicky observational description?

Columbus: Ohio State Main Library Renovation
Since I venture to this part of the forum about as much as I venture to NYC (re: almost never), someone will have to tell me if you've started a thread on this topic already. BTW, Is the Map (Collection) Room being sent to the Science & Engineering Library as I last heard? They sure as hell don't have room to hold it over in Derby (with Geography). http://www.dispatch.com/business-story.php?story=dispatch/2006/07/02/20060702-G1-00.html

Cincinnati Reds Discussion
Nobody is going to be able to pick up a quality reliever in June. Wait until late July. quality relievers are a myth, out of all the RP's in the leauge, probably less than 20% are consitent from year to year. Hell, exclude the "lefty specialists" and mariano rivera, and you are down to 13% percent. (wait, are we talking relievers or closers, or does relievers imply/include closers?) Relievers include Closers, set-up, middle, and mop ups. Quality relievers usually only mean closers and set-ups. You don't trade for middle or mop ups (unless they are there to fill in a deal)

I guess my site is so hap-hazard, that wikipedia doesn't bother with my material too much. Then again, how are they going to copy a photo or a map.
