Cincinnati Reds Discussion
Might it be because finding bullpen help is like looking for a needle in a haystack? Or better yet, they have nothing of worth to trade for pitching (the fire sellers will want prospects. Last I heard, the Reds have few of those).

Ohio State or Michigan football
And if you want to get more creative and selectively consider only the past five years, OSU actually leads the all-time series. GO BLUE!!! That's what the Columbus media always does. Every year during the John Cooper era, they would somehow come up with someway to say the series was even the last 22, 28, 35, or 49 years. Now they just keep a running total of the days since Michigan last defeated Ohio State.

Well, Nashville has been ripping off Memphis since the 1930s. It's one of the few thing they know how to do there in Nashville.

Cincinnati: FINALLY - *90* photos of the "URBAN OHIO CITY TOUR"
Just caught this, who might you be referring to? Was Magyar following you guys? Yeah, like I can control security cameras 900 miles away. Don't go Karl Rove on us. YOU'RE the one who took photos of fellow memebers, behind their back, unannounced, and didn't say anything till others started showing their photographs on here. :shoot: Me, on the other hand, when going to a Midwest city (not in Ohio) mention it beforehand, end up orchestrating a mini-meet in city, which means I talk to them up front, actually meet them - face to face, and talk to them. See the difference. Plus, two moderators for this site stated that group photos will no longer be taken at these meets because of YOUR stalker act in Cincy. That's no good either. :whip: So go work on your social skills, for the sake of UrbanOhio and all of humanity in the tri-state area.

Columbus: Random Development and News
Magyar replied to Summit Street's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionI read the article as mere whining that people were being more inconcienced with the construction than constricted traveling before.

My photos from OSU - August 2005
Because he was on "the otherside of Derby," he didn't get one of Dr. Kevin Cox's tours of Columbus. Thus he didn't get to see the near east side.

Where is Home?
Isn't there more than one volume of the Guthrie tributes? KF There are Mermaid Ave. and Mermaid Ave II (wouldn't be surprised if there are other tributes to Gutherie over the years, just that I'm familiar with the Bragg/Wilco material)

But its a golf course. I have no remorse for golf course destruction. There's plenty of other locations for WASPs to conduct their (alleged) business deals.

Columbus: Innerbelt News
The Dispatch tries, but the dates and names don't seem to match. It's Yellow book, Bergendoff, Bartholomew, then ODOT on the chronological order of proposals on the innerbelt. Columbus Public Library doesn't have a copy of any city trans. plan between 1952 (Bergendoff) and 1973 (first MORPC report) and their news index doesn't make it before 1962 so there is no easy way to follow this up. :| http://www.dispatch.com/news-story.php?story=dispatch/2006/06/19/20060619-A1-03.html FREEWAY FIXES I-70/71 split is divisive in other ways Monday, June 19, 2006 Tim Doulin THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH Some call the I-70/71 split Downtown a scar on the city. About 1.5 miles long, the stretch of freeway is blamed for separating Downtown from German Village and Olde Towne East. It is not a problem unique to Columbus. "Since the day after they dug the first trench for a freeway, people realized, 'Hey, we used to talk about being on the other side of the tracks,'"said Ben Coifman, associate professor of civil engineering and electrical engineering at Ohio State University. "Now, it is the other side of the freeway."
