North Korea : Communism, yay!
I saw a story, I think in print, last year about travelers who were trying to visit every country in the world (versus me and my quest for every county in the US) and that one or two of them had received clearance to go to North Korea. Evidently, they do allow for a handful of "outsiders" to come visit, obviously for promotional reasons (see, they aren't as bad as the west makes them out to be :-P). But they do put plenty of restrictions as to movement (don't expect to see the DMZ), who you can associate with (your guides will tell you who is approcable), and phototaking. So beware, you might not be able to photograph as much as you would like.

Who is the Best Guitarist of All Time?
We had a thread (or maybe just 5 posts somewhere) about Jimmy Scott. Though I don't think Jimmy's the same age as Robert Lockwood (Robert Jr is 91), more like 85 or so.

cleveland indians at the ny yankees
Almost Pope-like. One liners need a little more work. I take that those tickets were $78 each, not 8 for $78.

Ohio State or Michigan football
I'm forever emotionally scarred from John Cooper's era. I can never, never go into Michigan week thinking it's a lock. I just can't. Every other game (including bowl games) I'm good, but not Michigan. Thanks John.

^ I'd hope so. Note the similarities between Rob (top photo) and farmer on the Short North mural. Rob is Columbus's prodigal son. :wink2:

Who is the Best Guitarist of All Time?
Track down some Ray Fuller (long time Blues/Rock musician from Columbus) Or if you want something a little different, CC Adcock from down here in Louisiana waah? now there is a blast from the past. ray fuller was the house band at howard's in bg for years. sometimes he played there two or three times a week. he's still at it? tolerable at best. Yeah, Ray's still at it. http://www.rayfullerandthebluesrockers.com/ http://www.thethirstyear.com/Music.htm Ray Fuller is amongst the musicians featured in this collection of MP3s Had to laugh, they play a couple of tracks from Ray Fuller's last CD (in 2004) down here in Baton Rouge as well.

Columbus: Random Development and News
Magyar replied to Summit Street's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionHabig is finally retiring? Hopefully he stays in town for awhile. He would have so much information to share with everyone still. Though Habig leaving and finding his replacement sort of flew under the radar as far as UrbanOhio is concerned (obviously, not living in Columbus, I can't speak to the local media coverage of this).
