The UrbanOhio Cincinnati Meet - SATURDAY!!!
And you're from Louisiana?!?! ;-) Did you stick out due to your attention to detail, or did you become more organized as a backlash to (almost) everything being "fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants" down here?

Cincinnati Enquirer
^FWIW, the leftward leaning of the Dispatch is a recent development (last 5-10 years) Though the family who owns the Dispatch have always been part of the Columbus financial structure, so they have a reason to keep Columbus in a good light.

^ My car refuses to go there. Both times I planned to visit Florida, I encountered car trouble and cut the trip short. I guess I could of tagged along with several friends from LSU who went to Florida for spring break, but I have no money for that right now. P.S. Other than for an aunt on my Dad's side of the family, I have no family in Florida to visit. Both sets of Grandparents stayed "up north" (Hiram for my dad's, Main Line Philadelphia for my mom's)

Metro Columbus: Road & Highway News
That's the one. With the Rocks and Earthen walls (along 315) falling apart in places (Don't know why some parts perpetually crumble).

Cleveland: Monopoly Vote
Nice photo of Euclid Ave on there.

Metro Columbus: Road & Highway News
The one just past the county line (south of Powell Rd/Oh 750)? I think it was constructed in the mid 80s. I don't who owns it or lives there.

That's my counties visited map. Previously I used this image for my screenshot as well (The then abandoned Ship Hotel along US 30/Lincoln Highway in Pennsylvania, circa 2000)

Ah, up on the NE side. (I think I found your cemetary). Long as it wasn't West Laurel Hill

Time for a SPRING pictures thread
Continuing the flower theme..... Taken in March, though not for the flowers. This explains why:http://www.roadfan.com/rpw.html

Philadelphia & Washington DC in March '06
Had to laugh. Someone e-mailed me Sunday asking if Marple-Newtown is part of the Main Line (Affluent West Philadelphia suburbs). My reply was that in the 21st Century, Everyone north of Baltimore Pike/Ave claims to be part of the Main Line. Anyway, which cemetary did this occur at?

Cincy-Hidden History - help identify
That yellow tube could house wiring. Looks too flexiable to be a gas line. :|

Which small Ohioan towns are worth visiting?
Kilbourne & East Claridon.

Columbus: Demolition Watch
Magyar replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Architecture, Environmental, and PreservationI'd see green space coming before a parking lot. Other than 17th & 18th St. theres no vehicle access, and those streets are restricted to buses and super rich parking pass holders. I don't see tarmack in the future for that location.

At one time, the second most dense city, next to Manhattan...
Then what was with the Butler County blast?! Now that we know it was intentional on your part, I find it annoying.

"URBAN OHIO" State license plate - Lets see your ideas
How about a shadow/line drawing montage of Terminal, LeVeque, and Carew Towers.

Hello--new and looking for relo advice (Columbus)
You mean this ranger?

At one time, the second most dense city, next to Manhattan...
As I stated earlier. ODOT's archival work on these photographs is lousy. I'm not sure if Inkalin goofed on his own or if ODOT incorrectly described the photo being in Butler County.

It's not hard, just go to http://www.odotonline.org/photoarchive/ Just filter by Franklin County and Interstates (though I have found ODOT's archiving something not to be desired)

Hello--new and looking for relo advice (Columbus)
When leaving Columbus, do you drive thru Dayton before heading north to the big lake? We're not talking about flying up I-71 in a sports car. Try towing a boat on roads without a 65 MPH speed limit. Cleveland isn't the only port along Lake Erie.
