The Way Citizens Deal With Corruption and Civil Injustice
It's a little late in the game to get eyewitness accounts from that event. Who is to say that the newspaper account (from 1884) was accurate? Along with the big cities each having 3-7 newspapers, they were each very partisian and more of an agenda than any media mogal has now.

The Way Citizens Deal With Corruption and Civil Injustice
The group in the story you posted reads like a lynch mob. A popular form of justice in the 19th century in Ohio (lasted into the 1960s in Alabama & Mississippi).

Columbus: Random Development and News
Magyar replied to Summit Street's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionActually, I think that map is in error (concerning SoDelCo). They under-represent growth along US 23 (There's a strip mall just west of Polaris and bunch of housing along the way MORPC) while overstating growth along I-71 between Polaris and US 36. You can't have growth without access, and beyond having an exit at the SE corner of Alum Creek Reservoir (talked about for almost 40 years now, and still nowhere near any source of funding) there has been no talk other access points to I-71 in the area.

Ever heard of Photohio?
Just for the record (so everyone else knows why it was collapsing) Delaware's City Hall caught fire in 1934. Thus why that tower was colapsing. Not urban renewal gone amuck. P.S. http://www.delaware43015.com/ has a page there listing the major fires in Delaware history including that 1934 City Hall fire.

NCAA Men's Basketball: General News & Discussion
The Bearcats will get in with a 9th seed OSU will get a 2 seed if they win the Big 10 (But no worse than a 4th seed if they don't win another game) LSU will most likely be a 3 seed (I'll be surprised if they get a 2 seed if they win both the Regular season and post-season SEC titles). But could drop back to a 6th seed if they fall apart here at the end. Duke and the Winner of the Big East (UConn/Villanova) are locks as 1 seeds. Here's hoping Memphis and Gonzaga join them (but not at the expense of Villanova!) And the magic is gone @ Xavier. For the first time since the early 80s, they won't make the big dance in consecutive years. Better see if Pete Gillian wants come back home.

^The new company name isn't as similar to the old names as I originally thought. :|

A brief history of the Flats
The more sucessful one will have something to build off of. Memphis and Nashville being the most obvious examples. Others will try to make a mountain out of a molehill (Jackson, Ms; Shreveport), and others just want to throw something together because it looks cool (see KJP's examples).

Good. Now I know who to point at and yell, "TERRORIST" to all the Chicago police. :-)

That name sounds familiar. What was the name of the transit system for Columbus, pre COTA?

Columbus: Innerbelt News
Yeah, a smirk or a wink icon would of been more effective at holding off my fire. :-)

Columbus: Innerbelt News
Why not just elimnate the remining 72 freeway exits within the outerbelt and force people to bypass columbus around I-270? :? And what would plan to do for those who lived within the I-270 loop?
-
Columbus: Innerbelt News
Because any connection north of I-270 would require a new highway, crossing the Olentangy River and running through Orange Twp. If environmental concerns wouldn't stop construction, political pressure (from the Middle class citizens up there) would.

Columbus: Interstate 270/OH 161 NeXT Project
I believe the New Albany Bypass is interstate standard. If your second question was meant to make that part a I-X71(or70), there are plenty of roads in Ohio that fall in that same catigory but are still given state of federal number designations. IOW, not very high on ODOT's priority list. Ex- Oh 315 between I-70/71 and I-270, and US 33 from Dublin to Bellfontaine.

How About "None of the Above" on the Ballot?
But you can't quantify non-votes. You can count a none-of-the-above vote.
