Yeah, but Wright & Cleveland St got spun off from OSU under Rhodes (part 1). They don't count. :-D <dives back into the leftover muck from Katrina>
  5. Yeah, yeah, yeah.... But in the end we all know that... CLEVELAND ROCKS :-D

I-71/I-275 (north....as Columbusians would say) or is there a "proper name" for this interchange?

  8. Just don't let it flood (if that can happen) then.
  9. I'd say you're the man for the job. Just make sure you place it in Jackson, Ohio.

In spite of what you hear. 1974 was not that bad of a year. Nixon resigned. I was born. Two very important events in mankind. :-D
  11. It's to help get beer shipments from the Budweiser plant on the Northside of Columbus get to Athens and OU 5 minutes quicker. :drunk: Seriously, it's one of those Appalachian Corridor plans. It gets 33 out of the (former) congestion of Nelsonville and away from the creekside there.
  12. Bringing this thread back from the background. I recieved the following e-mail today from a Brad Dean (in SC): We exchanged emails a while back regarding I-73 ... you provided some information that was very helpful. Thought you might be interested to learn that we were successful in getting a 'priority' status for I-73 in the recent transportation bill. When the President signed that bill a couple of weeks ago, I-73 became a Corridor of "National and Regional Significance". We were able to secure $81 million for our leg --- a drop in the bucket of what will be needed, but a good start for a project that was seemingly dead. The priority status should also help secure additional funds. It still seems that this project is dead, or dying, in Ohio and Michigan but perhaps DOT officials in those two states will now see this as an opportunity? Obviously he states what we've mentioned above, any other comments towards his last question?

^So who's your friend? I like her eyes. BTW, if that photo, that Kevin linked to, was the final product (and going off your description MayDay); that photographer doesn't know how to operate a zoom lens.
  14. So who from the Staten Island team will be playing in Columbus shortly?
  15. And since it's formation in 1973, ODOT has been in a continual boom/bust cycle. Compared to the Voinovich years, this is a bust cycle.
  16. ODOT is not going to bring in the money for the Caps. Columbus wants the caps and to have them will have to figure out to get them paid for. Right now, I'd put money on ODOT not building caps because Columbus brought them back into play too late in the process.

Well, Wall St. & the mainstream media is starting to be very concerned. Though the only alternatives mentioned so far is conserve or restructure your budget. But that only helps in the short term (if you call that help :-()

  23. See. It's Greyhounds fault for not alerting the public to their service options. Thus bus attendance dwendled.

They used to send their sons and daughters to Liberal Arts schools here in Ohio. That's how my mom (Main Line girl) met my dad (NE Ohio/Detroit/Vermont radical).
