Name of river and Route number(s) will suffice to prevent this from being a dead end.

Then it's time to kidnap this thread and take it elsewhere! :-o http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=39.999536,-83.012695&spn=0.004974,0.007175&t=k&hl=en On second thought, here's the next actual location (in Metro-Cincy) http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=39.320154,-84.251994&spn=0.004974,0.007175&t=k&hl=en

So do any of you follow Frontier League baseball (below A level)? I know they have a team in Chilecothe, because they show up on the transaction wire reports when there are slow sports news days down here in Baton Rouge.

Is that where "rebuilt" Crosley Field is?
  7. I received an e-mail today from someone concerning the cause of the problem with the High St arches (supposedly) The reason that those lights do not work anymore is because the main breaker box and all of the electrical equipment for the arches was put in the basement of one of the Short North buildings. After only working for a short time, that basement flooded and short circuited out all of the wiring and it was all ruined. All of the arches would need to be rewired and major costs would be involved in getting them back up and running again

    Cincinnati Moeler HS?
  9. Where was that article located? Some people need some scorn.
  10. Well, you left your original interpretation to be unlimited. Due to location (being in this thread) I was under the impression you were speaking specificly about this topic that Jeff worked on. Yes I have. You either work on it as a hobby and takes a loooong time to put it together (because it's an hobby and you work on part-time at best) or it was a scholarly work that itself won't bring you any $$$, but will fulfill your contract requirements, since professors are expected to produce so many articles (and the occasional book) along with their teaching requirements. One could argue that showing material on here is like sharing it with a group of 100 (like in your historical Society example).

    Would that be Coney Island?
  12. Because there is a limited market for that kind of material (especially in the internet age) Otherwise, May Day wouldn't be the only published author here. :-)

    ^ OK, Pittsburgh.
  14. Term paper or part of a thesis? (Impressive background work done there)

My new favorite quote: "You live and learn and then you die and forget it all." -- Ray Lum (1895-1981) And who was Ray Lum? A Mississippi horse trader. Saw the quote in a book of essays about Jackson, Ms. yesterday.

Bruses on chest and arms sound like child abuse to me. :shoot: Sam Malone needs discipline
  17. You might want to let the fine folks in Youngstown know that. They (Ok, 2 posters) seem to think their city is turning into a remake of Escape from New York.

You MTR slacker. ;-) Carson Palmer's house?

Now when any guys try to hit on you, you can reference UrbanOhio and depending on their answer determine how fast you want to run away. :-D
  20. I thought it was Drexel Ave.
  21. He moved to Cleveland?!?!? When he resigned from council, it was easily assumed that sensenbrenner had ruffled too many feathers. But I never thought he would leave Central Ohio. Scratch him off my list for putting a Columbus History museum together.
  22. So you want a Columbus History Museum?! First, you contact the Columbus Landmarks Foundation Then you visit the Columbus Historic Resources Commission Then you buzz the Columbus Foundation (they grant $$$ in town) Then you track down former City Council member Rich Stensenbrenner (sp) After all that you go talk to workers at the Ohio Historical Society (if there are any) and befriend anyone working at the Biography, History & Travel desk at Columbus Public Library (Main Branch) Then for the coup-de-gras. Find like minded folk (Professors, grad students, undergrads) in the following departments at Ohio State. History, Geography, Urban & Regional Planning. Now get to work!
  23. Columbus has a looooong history of ignoring it's history.

This can be titled either as "I have no shame" or "This is what I think of you, Texas!" (look beneith the green arrow) (Photo is of a group of LSU Geography/Anthropology students in front of a Presidio near Goliad, Tx. Photo taken in May of this year)
