  1. This is about something that is technically just outside of UC, but I'll allow myself to post it since it's about something very close to the work going on around the Maltz center posted above. The other day I took a shortcut on my way home down Newton Ave and was really surprised and impressed by what I saw. Here is a group of single family homes on small lots, with short setbacks, on a narrow, not quite straight street. It's a really charming street and something that I'd recommend checking out. It's just behind the Maltz center and the Innova development. https://www.google.com/maps/@41.5068108,-81.6184138,3a,75y,333.87h,85.39t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1si40WOFxjxyNZraUFLJqayQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656
  2. Yeah, that Wade Park-Ashbury area is a nice neighborhood, but the current housing stock lacks the sort of diversity that might inspire rapid growth. We'll see what effect these townhomes have.
  3. IDK if this is your question, but the property isn't actually owned by CIA. Much like the Uptown dorms, the school leases the building from a separate owner.
  4. I'd like to nominate the traffic light soup where Chester-MLK-Euclid meet in University (ahem) Circle.
  5. What do you mean by "second downtown" exactly? From those massing studies it looks like they want to do something about that Chester-Euclid-MLK intersection. Right now it's a mess that cuts off the neighborhood and contains a bunch of wasted green space. Can I dream about seeing that turned into a nice big traffic circle one day?
  6. I hope they change it so that it fronts the street better and doesn't completely block off traffic going through that road/parking lot.
