Cincinnati: Brent Spence Bridge
There was an east-west expressway proposed thru Clifton along Taft Road; coincidentally named the Taft Expressway. It would have connected to I-75 at Western Hills Viaduct and proceeded east to I-71

There is the Little Miami Scenic River Buffer they have to deal with. In respect to the Cedar Fair investment and improvements at KI....what of the millions of dollars did Paramount sink into the Park that still bear fruit?

Cincinnati: I-71 Improvements / Uptown Access Project (MLK Interchange)
Operationally, I-71 operates as 2 lanes at this choke point. The 2 right lanes are drop lanes as we all know, so the 2 left lanes funnel thru I-71 traffic well before the gore of left on-ramp from the Lateral. Yes, there will still be a weave for the drop lane to Red Bank Road; however, the weaving length will be made much longer and traffic will have more space to merge. This is not the only choke point along I-71 NB, the Kenwood Cut and the Cross County Loop Ramp still limit capacity. Inasmuch as it will remove the bottleneck , the main issue is safety. I cant pull it up ATM, but the section of I-71 NB from Dana to Smith/Edwards probably has a higher than predicted crash rate due to the queues that extend back into the freeflow section further back.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
No they don't when compared to a traditional intersection. A driver has to look left to yield to get into a roundabout, that's it. For a single lane roundabout (RAB) this represents one conflict point that is the yielding driver's responsibility. There are 32 conflict points in a traditional intersection as compared to just 8 conflicts in a RAB intersection. All conflicts in a RAB are low angle and slow speed, whereas the 32 conflict points in a traditional intersection are high angle and higher energy points. A well-designed RAB puts the pedestrian crossing directly in front of the driver's eye, also with a pedestrian crossing set back one full vehicle length from the yield line (That way, pedestrians do not have to cross in front of drivers that are looking for their gap in traffic). There are 16 pedestrian/vehicle conflict points in a traditional intersection as compared to 8 pedestrian/vehicle conflicts in a RAB intersection.

Columbus: Bicycling Developments and News
There is no applicable reason of why the bike way flares out like that at Spring Street. If additional width is needed so vehicles can get back to the pump station, then that can be accomplished with reinforced turf (green pavement)

Cincinnati: Interstate 75
Crazy. As I have already noted, the temporary merge from Hopple to 75N is very dangerous. Hopefully this gets modified in some fashion as part of this project, even if the circa-1972 ramp from I-74 is not rebuilt. yes, that ramp merge is temporary and will be removed and relocated as a direct merge to I-75 NB -- under the ramp from I-74 to I-75 NB -- per standard design.
