  1. It's a direct measure of your argument's quality that a counter-argument of "nuh-uh" would have equivalent soundness and evidentiary support. If you wonder why people don't seem to be responding to you as directly as you'd like, that's why.
  2. Not sure if anyone's seen this or not, but 3CDC has a new rendering on its website that's far more detailed and seems to reflect the increase in height from 14 to 15 stories.
  3. Perhaps this has already been posted, but here is a link to a video rendering of the proposed MEMI venue. I'm not an architect and have no design sensibility, but I actually quite like it. Whether it offers what The Banks needs is obviously another question. https://memi.biz/news/memi-recommended-jbsc-build-new-music-venue-banks The dropbox link below the video contains renderings of the proposed outdoor space as well.
  4. The Freeport Row properties at Elm and Liberty were recorded as sold today to FG OTR I LLC, though the company doesn't appear to be registered on the Ohio Secretary of State website. Not sure if that means the project is moving forward in some other capacity or completely dead, but thought it might be worth sharing.
  5. This might be overly trivial of me to mention (sorry I'm still new here), but North American Properties seems to have applied for a demo/new building permit for the southwest corner of 8th and Main, 721 Main Street. That was February 5th, so it seems like things are indeed moving along here. Here's the link: https://cagis.hamilton-co.org/opal/apd.aspx?QSPerm=2018P01085
  6. I went to Bang Zoom's Eden Park studio last year and even then they seemed to have outgrown their space, a converted bungalow. Cool if true, would be great to get a few product-based startups on that side of Central, with these folks and LINSR being the first two. But you're right, 1.1m is too much for those buildings in that area.
  7. Here are a few I got yesterday as I was walking home:
  8. You're right to say Amazon doesn't have the same kind of data points Kroger/84.51 does, and it doesn't have the PLM expertise P&G does. What remains to be seen is how Macy's responds. It seems the smart move would be to continue selling its real estate and move directly into Amazon's online space as a competitor. At least then they would have some chance of success, while their current model has none--their stores are aesthetically turgid and their online presence is...wanting. But it'll take an enormous shift in focus, and I wonder whether their new eBay execs are equal to it.
  9. The city manager said during the presentation yesterday that in 2022 a lot of excess bond capacity would be available. (I probably haven't gotten the wording right.) Does anyone know the reason for that?

As would the most recent OTR purchases in the Hamilton County Sales File, three buildings on Central Parkway for $1.1m. Not only does the sale price seem high considering the buildings, but the purchasing LLC is registered to a KMK lawyer who represents, among other firms, Cintas. Could be nothing, but the listing pointed out a few weeks ago in the West End thread also just sold, 1509 Providence Street for $25k.
