I saw they have a tower crane up and attached to the tallest part of the hotel now. It should start coming down soon

Cincinnati Lunken Airport
From what I can tell, that rendering in the background is placed approximately where there are currently hangars at now. I'm fairly positive that it had nothing to do with this proposal for the terminal. Also, I don't think that building could be built at that height at that location due to FAA regulations. I could be wrong though.

Cincinnati Lunken Airport
The developer of Hotel Covington has submitted a proposal to turn the Lunken Airport terminal into a hotel and restaurant. The only story and images I can find for it are on the Enquirer. I'd love to see this happen. I love the terminal building and I feel like this is one of very few chances the city will have to keep it fully functional again. Covington, KY: Development and News
There's a proposal to redo the old Kenton County jail into multi family housing from Al Neyer. They're looking for more city assisted funding right now. It was supposed to be on the agenda for the city council meeting last night. https://www.rcnky.com/articles/2021/03/15/redevelopment-former-county-building-seeks-city-assistance I saw some renderings on Twitter yesterday so I'll try to find them again. Edit. Found it. https://twitter.com/pat_laFleur/status/1371941067491307525?s=09

Cincinnati: CUF / Corryville: Development and News
Cincy_Travels replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionSo from the little research I did, it looks like this is going to be about 20-25 feet taller than what the Deaconess Hospital was. The students at the top are going to have an awesome view of the city. At least until the taller tower gets built

Ohio Intercity Rail (3C+D Line, etc)
I would love for that to happen! That line runs right through my hometown of Peebles. Not much freight traffic travels through there anymore but it is more than it was 10 years ago.

Cincinnati/NKY International Airport
DHL is well over 26 daily flights at CVG. Amazon has over 30 daily flights and DHL has more than them. If I remember correctly there are close to 60 aircraft parking spots on DHL's ramp and it essentially fills up during the DHL sort. In regards to Amazon adding another runway just for them, that's not how aviation works. Putting another runway between 18C/36C and 18R/36L isn't possible. There isn't enough room to add a runway and allow for simultaneous approaches and departures. If a new runway was to be built it would be another east/west one. 3 north/south is plenty. Even the shortest of them can handle narrow body aircraft. They would just need to extend it for the wide bodies.

Norwood: Development and News
Cincy_Travels replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionFrom what I've heard, this was discussed during a Norwood city council meeting. I think it requires a zone change. They didn't approve it or reject if I remember correctly. I really hope the city doesn't approve this.

I'm on my phone so can't post this to the same standard that most articles are posted but here you go anyways. https://www.wcpo.com/news/local-news/butler-county/hamilton/plan-to-save-historic-hamilton-train-station-in-the-works I think they should really try to keep it and repurpose it.

Cincinnati: General Business & Economic News
Cincinnati seems to be losing its public companies at a rapid pace and it's disheartening. I'm worried that a lot of jobs are going to be moved to Toronto or another city that the buyer has operations in. It doesn't seem to be very often that jobs get moved here. I obviously hope that I'm wrong.

Frontier will be adding 18 of the A321XLR. That's not a huge fleet but the plane should be able to reach Europe from CLE, CMH, or CVG. I don't expect them to announce a big expansion to Europe with those planes as they will also be using that aircraft on other market segments such as Hawaii and Alaska.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Heritage Bank Center
Maybe it's gonna be Allegiant Arena. It kind of makes sense, CVG is the largest non-destination market for Allegiant. https://www.reviewjournal.com/business/stadium/allegiant-air-files-to-trademark-allegiant-arena-name-1832007/

Cincinnati: Fountain Square: Development and News
Cincy_Travels replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionThe base could always be replaced. Not saying that it's the most economical way to develop the parcel but it is a possibility. That article is over two years old now. Plus didn't 3CDC buy the property? So essentially any old plans for the site are pretty much null and void at this point.

Cincy_Travels replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionDepending on the height of the floors, wouldn't that make it a good contender to be the new tallest in the city? If the rumor is true of course.
