Cincinnati: Downtown: Convention Center / Hotel
Not 800 rooms as planned and promised? That's what 3CDC sold as narrative for the entire project as being a minimum of 800 rooms to attract new businees for the newly "remodeled" convention center. WTF?

Cincinnati: Downtown: Central Trust Tower
Looking at CincyVison on YouTube tonight you can see they have lit up the building, mid way up below the scaffolding, with a wrap around. Looks pretty cool! Wonder what the final lighting plan will look like?

Agree. I thought someone on this board quoted sources as "late Q2". Time's a wastin'.

Newport, KY: Ovation
The Margaritaville Hotel will be a natural tourist draw from beyond the Tri-State region due to it's uniqueness and location on the river with a stunning view. Too many "parrot heads" in the area not to visit this destination and spend a few bucks.

Cincinnati: Potential New Arena
The Cincinnati, OH designated market area (DMA) is a U.S. television market serving the people in the state of Ohio. It is the 36th biggest television media market by size in the United States, with a total population of 989,940 TV households as of the 2022-2023 television season, up +1% from that of the 2021-2022 season.

Any update of Margaritaville Hotel at Newport on the Levee construction timeline? Seems they wanted to open in early 2026?

Was in Indy over the weekend. The site for the 38 story Hilton Signa hotel has three huge cranes up and they are still pouring concrete for the massive foundation. I had hoped that Cincinnati would have broken ground and started construction first on our new convention hotel....but hopefully, very soon.- Cincinnati: Downtown: Convention Center / Hotel
Attention getter is all she is. Let's get this project going. The other regional metros are eating our lunch. Stop the politics, for once.- Cincinnati: University of Cincinnati: Development and News
So, just looking at the preliminary renderings what does everyone think the tallest building in the project will be in terms of #stories/height? Hopefully it (they)will be visible from the cut-in-the-hill at the minimum, when completed. 15? 20?- Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
Really hope this project gets back on track. Soon. Need more cranes downtown in 2024 including convention hotel. There seems to be a need for more Class A office space.- Cincinnati: University of Cincinnati: Development and News
Would love to see renderings of this proposed project. Hopefully, with some height at the corner of Vine and E. McMillan.- Cincinnati: Mt. Auburn: Development and News
Excellent! Let's build something next time with more height.- Cincinnati: CUF / Corryville: Development and News
Just to clarify. Are we talking about TWO different projects? Seem like UC is looking for a much larger building/tower.- Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
180 Walnut. Is this "dead" or on-hold? it sure would be nice to see a crane at The Banks and a building with some height down there. 180 WALNUT - Home (180walnutatthebanks.com)- Cincinnati: Downtown: Convention Center / Hotel
The Matthews design will have a large south/north view allowing spectacular views of the Ohio River and stadiums. Plus, a little more impact on the overall skyline coming down the cut in the hill. That's a bonus in my mind.- Cincinnati: Downtown: Fort Washington Way Cap
Finally, a comment that is both logical and realistic. Totally agree this is Barrett's most likely strategy.- Cincinnati: Fountain Square: Development and News
So disappointed. I always come here for news on local development, not political opinions. Why feel the need to add to a post which political party someone contributes or donates? How does that effect local development projects in terms of quality? Again, I expected better from this forum.- Cincinnati: University of Cincinnati: Development and News
Isn't The District at Clifton Heights currently building a tower for student housing? I know it's basically "off campus" however should help ease the pent up demand.- Cincinnati: Downtown: Convention Center / Hotel
I'm obviously not an engineer, but why can't an upper floor be a contiguous space? What says that all upper floors need to be just smaller rooms/spaces? The main ballroom at the David L. Lawrence Center is on the second level. My main point is to avoid waiting, possibly years, for processes to be approved, or denied, building over streets/interstates. Not to mention the additional construction costs. Building "up" seems the most economically feasible.- Cincinnati: Downtown: Convention Center / Hotel
Would it not be more economically feasible to build "up" vs. "out"? I have managed several large events in the David L. Lawrence Center in Pittsburgh and the multi-levels work fine. I don't understand the obsession with street level only convention centers here. Just an opinion and observation.- Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
Time to get on the stick and start construction of 180 Walnut. Hard to believe this was announced and approved literally years ago. Any news on 180 Walnut at The Banks?- Cincinnati: CUF / Corryville: Development and News
The Marriott Tribute Portfolio hotels normally always have the "lobby" on the top floor. Guess it's a thing. At least in the few I've stayed in around the country.- Liberty Township: Liberty Center
Assume this will be one of several Shake Shakes in the Cincinnati metro market. They already exist in Columbus/Cleveland/Indy. Guess it was just a matter of time. Locations | Shake Shack- Newport, KY: Ovation
Need more on the Ohio side now. Whatever happened to 180 Walnut at the Banks? That should be a tower crane when (if) construction begins. Hopefully we see tower cranes at the new Convention Center Hotel before years end. That's you 3CDC. - Cincinnati: Downtown: Convention Center / Hotel
