Pittsburgh & Harrisburg
That's just the first two floors of a late 80's scraper. Calling it a mall would be giving it too much credit.

Pittsburgh Overdose: South Side
Primanti's is overrated in my book.

San Francisco, April 2007
Very very good!

Instant Replay: Previously seen pics of Pittsburgh
It's not all new. There are some very old buildings mixed in there, as well as some newer ones that predate the stadiums. There is more construction going on, on the other side of the park. It's more a series of projects rather than any grand scheme.

St Patrick's Day Parade!!!
All of the hotels were sold out. I had to stay on Hilton Head.

Old Hoods in Savannah.
Most of these pics were taken in an area south and west of Savannah's Historic District. The fabric is very interesting here. There has been improvement here since the last time I was in town, five years ago.

St Patrick's Day Parade!!!
Damn, it's unbelievable how many people on these forums can't read. "One of the largest outside of NY" is not the same as THE LARGEST outside of NY. I hate to go off, but I seem to have to deal with this type of nonsense every time I post. A little careful reading goes a loooooong way. By the way, there were tons of people along a very twisty route. The pics don't come close to showing them. I tried to avoid the crowds. If you google this parade, you will see that Savannah does claim it to be second to NY, but I never claimed that.

St Patrick's Day Parade!!!
I went to the St. Patrick's Day parade this past Saturday. By the way, it was the one in Savannah, Georgia, which is one of the largest outside of NYC. Tons of pics from the South, will be forthcoming! Stay Tuned!!!

Apartments, Plexes, and Rows: Cleveland
That pic was taken about 4 years ago on the West Side.

Apartments, Plexes, and Rows: Cleveland
Cleveland has an interesting mix of housing types outside of the ubiquitous single family detatched house. I didn't put too many pics of the well known Cleveland two flat in the thread, as it's fairly well known here.

(Northeast US) New York City.
Just a sample of the many NY pics I have.

my daily commute (Pittsburgh)
The city is Appalachian. No point in arguing about that. The only difference between Clarksburg (WV), and Monessen, is that one is 20 miles from Pittsburgh, and the other 90.

Pittsburgh Neighborhoods: Point Breeze.
Point Breeze is located in Pittsburgh's East End. It lies directly south of Homewood, on the other side of the former main line of the Pennsylvania Railroad. Prior to WW2, Point Breeze was considered part of Homewood. With the decline of the section of Homewood located north of the tracks, the area south of the tracks divorced itself from Homewood and took a separate identity. Point Breeze is divided into two sections. North Point Breeze lies between the tracks, and Penn Avenue to the south. South Point Breeze lies between Penn Avenue and Homewood Cemetary. South Point Breeze is very nice. North Point Breeze is great in some spots, but a bit rundown in others. North Point Breeze. South Point Breeze.

2006 Retrospectives: Philadelphia Trip; Part 1
These are from my only trip to Philly this year. I also was able to hit several nearby cities. Pottstown, Pa. I got here shortly before dark, and was only able to take a few pics. New Castle, De. Wilmington, De. Philadelphia. More Philly to come. Plus West Chester and Carlisle.
