  1. Update on Woodhill Station West: (9/10/2023)
  2. The Amelia doesn't look like it is moving very fast on the back portion: (9/10/2023) Looks about the same since May? Even on a rainy Sunday, this whole area still had foot traffic. It felt alive.
  3. I always thought Ravenna was nice, and I don't think I saw anyone mention it? It always seems to get lumped in with Kent. Also Wellington was very lively for it's size.
  4. So you were inside the new Medley Apartment building... where are those pics? 😅
  5. I would hate to see those come down, but they are part of the Nautica Waterfront project area: Nautica Waterfront District and they propose a midrise on that block This is what is currently on their website.
  6. While I feel there could have been a little more time spent on the design, I think a big reason for replacing them all is so they share the same parts. They should now all have the same bolt sizes and light bulbs to make it easier to maintain them. What did they do with the old ones they just removed? There are plenty of theater buildings in Northeast Ohio that lost their marquees over the decades and could have used them, at least as templates if the structures were too far gone?
  7. I like that billboard 😂
  8. Neurology Hospital update 6/9 Bonus: Cleveland Playhouse Site 6/9

  10. City of Middleburg Heights, Cleveland Clinic, Premier Development Partners Collaborate to Revitalize Local Community article from 9/7/22 but I don't remember hearing about remodeling the old Middleburg K-mart building into a new CCF Family Health Center.

The marina at Fairport Harbor is moving along: Below is an article that was featured in Marina Dock Age Magazine in April, 2022. https://www.msa-ps.com/stormwater-plans-practices-and-payoffs/ And here is the Fairport Harbor Port Authority website article: https://www.exploretheport.com/blank-3 The Lake Metroparks is still working on a 2.5 mile lakefront trail from the Fairport Harbor marina to the Painesville Township Park, across the old Diamond Shamrock property, one of the largest brownfield sites in the US Here is the Lakeview Bluffs redevelopment plan that has been floating around for many years regarding the potential future of that property.
  12. it was a 1 story UH building at 2071 Cornell rd. It had been fenced off for a few weeks. I haven't heard what might be replacing it. Of the homes on E 115th, most of those continue to decay, but no fencing has gone up on any of those.
  13. UH Main Campus demolition:

  15. With another Belle Oaks hurdle cleared, Richmond Heights economic developer says 2023 ‘should be very exciting’ Cle.com article hinting at some possible spinoff development, but nothing official. Also these Cle.com articles about the potential sale of the church property next door. Sale of church property abutting Belle Oaks in Richmond Heights remains under discussion Potential sale of church site to Richmond Heights mall developer a hot topic Should we be excited that DealPoint Merrill is trying to purchase another 4.12 acres next door before their $260 million project has barely started?
  16. As local rents spike, Hough’s Chester 82 plans “affordable market-rate” apartments Article from TheLandCle.org that wasn't posted here yet.
  17. SW sold and leased back all of their stores years ago to free up capital and to pay down debt. Just because it happened before they broke ground for the new HQ doesn't mean much when interest rates were favorable. I'm sure corporations, like residential landlords, can claim the corporate rent they pay to landlords and deduct that from total earnings to obtain a better tax outcome. Obviously i want more density, but I'm not reading into the decision. But someone please prove me wrong!
  18. In regards to the Cleveland Playhouse; fences have been placed...
  19. Does this building have a name, or am I not picking up on it yet? It keeps being referred to as the "New Global Headquarters" that is part of the "Headquarters Campus", but did they name the building? Like Key Bank tower, or the Sohio Building, or just use the address. They can just go with the Sherwin Williams Tower (or building), but The Sherwin Williams Global Corporate Headquarters Tower is a lot to emboss above the front door, and there is nothing indicating a building name on their website? https://corporate.sherwin-williams.com/media-center/building-our-future.html
  20. Cleveland Foundation buys land next to HQ project so the way is clear for them to pursue the new district plan they announced a little bit ago. Cleveland Foundation announces Phase II innovation district building next to HQ aimed at uplifting East Side neighborhoods
