Toxic Masculinity
Personally, I'm most annoyed by the call out culture associated with these identity politics, I'm more up to date on how to best display speech in public games. I don't really give a shit what a Gillette ad is doing and don't really understand why someone felt the need to create a thread around an identity politics buzz word and start a bunch of unnecessary outrage. But hey, life would just be boring if we weren't distracted by some unnecessary outrage, so let the party continue! Can't say I haven't been munching my own popcorn through this thread.

Cleveland: Downtown: nuCLEus
Really wish they would change the name to something less gimmicky. logo is pretty shit too, but the new design is much more fitting for downtown CLE.

Cleveland: Filling in Euclid Avenue
It's a new market with over 4M square feet currently under construction! Fill those and maintain leases for 5 years and maybe there will be enough confidence to put some up for sale. Until then, there's a giant risk in relying on individual purchases to fund the project.

Masculinity does not have to be associated with biologically with males. In eastern philosophies masculine and feminine are energies that create reality: Females can be masculine just as males can be feminine. Biological sex doesn't have anything to do with it.

Do you have data to support? I've been wondering about this for some time and haven't' come up with much from the little research I've done.

Cuyahoga County: Corruption Probe
Three Cuyahoga County administrators indicted in corruption probe CLEVELAND, Ohio – A Cuyahoga County grand jury on Friday indicted a member of County Executive Armond Budish’s cabinet and two former county administrators on corruption-related charges. Chief Talent Officer Douglas Dykes, former Director of Corrections Kenneth Mills, and former IT administrator Emily McNeeley are charged with a variety of felonies and misdemeanors. The charges are the result of a year-long investigation by County Prosecutor Michael O’Malley’s public-corruption unit, which has focused primarily on the county’s troubled IT Department and jails. https://www.cleveland.com/news/2019/01/three-cuyahoga-county-administrators-indicted-in-corruption-probe.html

Not sure what kind of logic you're using here....Aside from Fox, most cable news channels and media publications are staffed by democratic voting journalists. Throw in Hollywood and it's nearly a monopoly of leftist leaning liberal bias. Not sure why they'd avoid Orangeman stories either as it's huge ratings generator and Hillary won the popular vote anyway.

hmm...well that's good news. It's always felt a bit off to me though I never did much research into how it performs over time.

Toxic Masculinity
Yea, tough to argue that conservatives are better at propaganda when liberals have control of media and universities. I'm sure there are plenty of other ways to spread propaganda and that conservatives are doing it AND it seems like education and media are #1 and #2. It was also liberal president that allowed propaganda on american citizens

what's the deal with CLE developers building half million dollar townhomes across the street from public housing? It's a rather disturbing trend IMO.

The attack on masculinity is a real thing. Not sure what sort of MRA cult you're referencing, but there will always be extremists and are the target audience of these sorts of publications. The less the general public participates the better IMO. Thanks for the civil dialogue.- Toxic Masculinity
Who are these men? does anyone know them in real life?- Toxic Masculinity
Rather presumptive are we? The quoted text is referencing the reason article. I watched the "short film" and it's fine. The outrage is sparked by the publication referencing the "short film" which is what I'm discussing above. My argument is the "outrage" is artificial and generated by publications associated with specific political agendas designed to divide and conquer and distract. Continuing to debate the accuracy of the artificial outrage is designed intent.- Toxic Masculinity
It's all an ad. The terminology used to describe men is an ad for a political agenda. The publication citing the ad is an ad for the political agenda ad. The political agenda is and ad designed to distract from doing actual work on real things. Directing energy to discuss a term coined by a publication posing as an ad for an ad is just falling deeper into the political agenda mill. Instead of wasting any energy that could be used for real work, isn't more helpful to spend energy on increasing individual worth, rather than worthless shit thought up to distract? Increasing individual worth not only helps the individual but everyone connected to the individual.- Toxic Masculinity
lol this thread is 4 pages of responses to twitter astroturfers commissioned to insight outrage over a silly "short film" ad. Can't we direct our energy towards something more constructive? Debating the political affiliations of trolling twitter accounts and how that may or may not affect our country is ludicrous.- Toxic Masculinity

I'll just leave this here- Toxic Masculinity
what are we mad about again? I would like to outrage ?- Toxic Masculinity
I don't really recall the ad and speaking more to outrage as a marketing tactic. Generate outrage = generating dialogue. It's the ad's fault the dialogue is toxic, nobody else. So just saying continuing dialogue around "toxic masculinity" or other political correctness hot takes is just more advertisement for said outrage.- Toxic Masculinity
Has it occurred to anyone that the outrage is part of the ad? Are this many people really offended by an ad? Is all of this "I'M OFFENDED" nonsense just another marketing gimic? People should be offended, it's a natural human emotion that catalyzes change. We shouldn't be worried about offending people as change makers and leaders because it's inevitable that people will be offended. Life is unfair and continuing to catering to ideas of making life fair is unsustainable. - Toxic Masculinity
