  1. If the city can afford a fancy pedestrian bridge for the library across Lee that few people use it should be able to afford one for one of the busiest intersections in Cleveland.
  2. The only negative I see is the traffic congestion during rush hour. Hopefully the new residents will walk to work/school . But that intersection not very pedestrian friendly either.
  3. Not only is the design better at the Abu Dubai site but the food service is something to marvel at.
  4. That's correct Mubadada Investment Company built and owns the Abu Dhabi site. The clinic manages it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cs_fxaYPzGQ
  5. The penthouse should have a commanding view of both downtown and university circle when you include the height of the hill.
  6. What I like about the Abu Dubai site is that it seems to incorporate the Cleveland Clinic logo into its design in subtle ways, such as its block-like structure as well as the blue lights above the green lawn below.
  7. Great to see the Cleveland International Film festival at its new venue at Playhouse Square. Well worth your patronage and a step up over Tower City for sure. Saw two films today that I enjoyed, "Cow" and "A Love Song". https://www.clevelandfilm.org/films/2022/cow https://www.clevelandfilm.org/films/2022/a-love-song
  8. Finally be opening in about a week at the end of this month. Should make a big splash among the power elites of London and a windfall for its endowment: https://www.thenationalnews.com/weekend/2022/03/25/cleveland-clinic-london-a-new-era-of-private-luxury-health-care-in-the-uk/
  9. Rockefeller is turning in his grave for sure, thanks to his soon to be obscured signage.
  10. Northcoast harbor pedestrian bridge is not included on map. Great work btw! An invaluable resource. It would be hard to keep up without it. Thank you!
  11. I was thinking that this would be a good location for an Amazon warehouse, or a Walmart, somewhere along those lines.

The warmth of her skating seems to melt the ice into its liquid form. A truly breathtaking performance!
  13. Talk about a prime piece of real estate though! You couldn't ask for a better location to cater to high net worth individuals. One Hyde Park that has some of the most expensive condos in the world in excess of 100 million per unit and is just blocks away. https://www.forbes.com/sites/clareoconnor/2011/04/18/worlds-most-expensive-apartment-sold-to-mystery-buyer-for-221-million/?sh=2f12d1734414 This is no coincidence and should pay high dividends for the Clinic overall whether the Queen stays there or not.
  14. At just a stones throw From Buckingham Palace this soon to be open palatial facility is truly fit for a Queen. Establishing a foothold here and elsewhere, such as Abu Dubai and southeast Florida that has a lot of high net worth individuals, is a great strategy for grow their endowment and ensure their long term survival. Not only that, having its namesake city incorporated into their brand is great for the city itself by extension. Exciting stuff! I mean can you imagine the publicity if the Queen of England ends up using this facility? It can't be more convenient and the quality is top notch. https://newsroom.clevelandclinic.org/2021/10/11/cleveland-clinic-london-facts-figures/
  15. I enjoyed driving through the Opportunity Corridor today for the first time. It reminded me of Chester Blvd. Lots of vehicular traffic flowing through already that will only increase as more people become aware of it. Cleveland's newest artery is a game changer for this neglected area. I love the fact it has a designated bike path along side it as well.
  16. Like this one by I.M. Pei in Boston: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Hancock_Tower#/media/File:John_Hancock_Tower.jpg
  17. My sentiments exactly! Just two Hiltons slapped together in opposite directions.
  18. I visited the Great Serpent Mound of Ohio once about thirty years ago and vowed never to return again. This place is haunted, or so it seemed to me. Whoever they were these ancient architects were ahead of their time even by today"s standards. They functioned on a different wavelength or plane of existence that has been lost forever in this materialistic world of ours. Suffice it to say my perfectly timed visit made a profound impression on me that still haunts me to this day. Enjoy!
  19. Much of that has to do with you. What would urbanohio be without you? You are the indespensible poster.
  20. Its those ugly as* beams on the roof that props the fake edifice up that makes the building look so cheap that needs to be obscured by this new building. I think from most angles it will, but not entirely ... except for some of the residents of this new building.
  21. Along with the Beacon, two funky buildings in Cleveland , oh my! Can we handle it? Better than another boring building.
  22. I hope the Geis condo tower gets developed soon as well. It would extend the skyline south on 9th in the way Lumen extends Euclid east.
  23. Hope the massive lobby becomes a big hit with pedestrian activity like the rotunda at Heinens for both locals and visitors alike.
  24. I don't see Buckeye going anywhere anytime soon.
