Cleveland: Downtown: May Company Building
I'm really surprised and disappointed that the Soldiers and Sailors Monument is not lit. After the Terminal Tower it should be the second most important structure in Cleveland to be lit imo.

Cleveland: Shaker Square: Development and News
Quaint is a better term. It has a little bit of that counterculture feel that Coventry Village used to have.

Snow plows too.

so glad they preserved the name on the building

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
I think that bridge lifts to let the large ships thru if i'm not mistaken which makes the situation even worse.

My only concern is the traffic congestion on the Cater bridge (especially during rush hour) and other bottlenecks on the Scranton pennisula. You also have Great Lakes Brewery with its associated trucks that will be there soon. All the more reason to live and work there rather than commute from the suburbs..

I think the Great American Tower in Cincinnati is the most iconic modern building in Ohio: https://www.queencitysquare.com/gat.php

Cleveland: Shaker Square: Development and News
I think Shaker-Larchmere as a neighborhood makes more sense than the Shaker-Buckeye linkage which I never understood.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Church+State (West 29th & Detroit Ave)
The tricky part will be how the neighborhood manages to integrate the public housing units with the market rate developments into a cohesive and unified whole, rather than "a tale of two cities" between the "haves and the have nots". Public spaces such as parks are the "glue" that keeps communities together as gathering places from all walks of life. But they have to be welcoming places that feel safe rather than than hang out areas of problematic people ( Market Square can feel that way). I think Irish Bend park needs to be a welcoming place (like the refurbished Public Square) for the community to succeed. Hope it pans out.

Cleveland: Downtown: John Hartness Brown Buildings / Euclid Grand
well they can always cover it with iron cladding like the one that was removed on the eastern building.

This gem will be right up there with The Schofield as far as restorations go. Gotta love these historic buildings!

Cleveland: Downtown: The Lumen
glass behind glass doesn't happen too often in this town. I think this is a positive development and would like to see more.

Who would have thought that this eyesore would turn out to be such a beautiful building.

color or black and white are pretty much the same this time of year

Makes sense to get that revenue stream flowing as early as possible.

California isn't doing a very good job this time around with their tent cities. This could happen here and elsewhere as a common occurrence if this trend continues … but I'm veering off topic.

A return back to the Gilded Age is not necessarily a good thing for most people.

Cleveland: Downtown: The Lumen
I'm amazed how quickly this thing went up. What a way to close out the decade that began with the E@Y building.

And it occupies the nicest intersection in Cleveland looking west down Euclid and Huron. I like the triangular intersections that Huron creates here and also Prospect.

Cleveland: Downtown: The Beacon
The lit garage at night bothers me a lot more than it does during the day. It looks really odd and haphazard. Only flaw in the building. Everything else looks great!

He got suspended for three games.

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
I think it should be complimentary to 200 Public Square across from it in the way Key Tower compliments the Terminal Tower. I don't think another spire is needed or beneficial to the skyline.
-
Cleveland: Downtown: The Lumen
Public Square makes a huge gap in the skyline even without the adjacent surface lots.

Cleveland: Rocket Arena (Gund Arena)
I think the city was hoping that the refurbished arena would act as a catalyst for the NuCLEus project. Very convenient for a basketball fan season ticket resident. Hope it pays off.
