  1. That’s one of my main beefs honestly. We got a two bedroom and basically all the two bedrooms are not lake views. I thought it was an interesting design choice. We either had to decide between a balcony and a lake view.
  2. Yes they are.
  3. Apartment paying for it all. The Lumen staff has been top notch throughout this whole process.
  4. We may be delayed moving in but the temporary accommodations they are providing..can’t complain about the view.
  5. What’s killing downtown is the lack of big events to draw in larger crowds.
  6. I also think it’s hard to judge the downtown market right now because of COViD. We haven’t really gone through something like this, and you cannot expect renting to keep up while this pandemic is ongoing. Like you said, if they aren’t mostly full in two years, then we may have an issue.
  7. Crains article said there are 31 units rented right now. Given the downturn and the pandemic, I don’t find this surprising.
  8. Society owner claiming the Hodge’s spot Also Dante’s Goma on East 4th won’t be open till 2021.
  9. Well just got news that building won’t be ready July 1. Looks like mid late July for first move ins.
  10. Symon’s Restaurants are reopening Gonna have to hit up Lolas asap
  11. My friends had them cater dessert at their wedding. It was really good.
  12. Looks like the Lobby still hasn’t been touched. Wonder when that’ll be done. Or is that the retail space?
  13. I wonder why the long closure? I’m guessing it’s due to the decreased revenue from the lunch crowd. guess I’ll be getting my groceries somewhere else this summer....
  14. I imagine COViD has put those plans on hold.
  15. Heinens closing would be devastating.
  16. Well that was fast. Good news.
  17. DCA set up a recovery fund for the businesses affected.
  18. I’m very worried about the health of downtown Cleveland restaurants with capacity limits and no big events bringing people downtown....
  19. From the Scene article, it sounds like he’s opening something else.
  20. https://www.clevescene.com/scene-and-heard/archives/2020/05/21/victor-searcy-of-the-sauce-the-city-spearheading-a-return-for-ohio-city-galley-space Super excited for this. I loved that space
  21. I think you’ll see everyone relax as treatment for the virus improves. I mean look at how much we’ve learned about the virus in a few short months? Have to think even without a vaccine, the treatment will continue to improve.
  22. I agree. Also, if a vaccine becomes available (fingers crossed), I think people will go back to business as usual.
  23. They can. Most places don’t so they can avoid lawsuits by potentially costing former employees new jobs. This is exhibit A as to why most places have that policy.
  24. It’s not petty reporting. It’s reporting businesses ignore clear requirements which can lead to more deaths. Most places apparently had few issues complying. The ones that didn’t simply chose not to and deserve to be addressed by the state.
  25. Can confirm we are still slated for July 1. Supposed to get our official lease next week.
