  1. https://www.news5cleveland.com/news/local-news/akron-canton-news/old-temple-israel-in-akron-transforming-into-a-large-center-for-arts Looks very interesting. I always thought Highland square lacked a community arts center. This space will definitely come in handy for events like the film festival and in general to keep visitors in the neighborhood Longer. Also, this form has been dormant for too long, if anyone has any more insight with any additional protects, please share!
  2. Saw this at the Bowery District. Seems interesting, I haven't heard anything about this up until now.

  4. Looks great. Between Main Street, all the apartment projects, and now this, downtown is really coming along nicely. They just need to work on some of the retail vacancies (especially main and Market since that whole intersection is empty now). Which I am sure as people return to in-person work and more residents move in will work itself out.
  5. According to the City of Akron parcel website, it is still owned by Akron Children's medical Center. Parcel ID:6763911
  6. Yes, Not sure if it is still in the works. I found this on there website: https://www.testacompanies.com/portfolio look under "Canal walk" I don't know any more about it. Any type of ground-up mixed-use would be huge for downtown. I pray it's not more parking lots.
  7. Construction is underway at the old Goodrich factory to convert the space into 200+ market-rate apartments on S. Main Street. I work right by the construction site and have witnessed the steady progress over time. Any word on when it'll get completed/what are your guy's thoughts on this project? I know they are also trying to get a craft distillery to join R.Shea and Missing Falls breweries. In addition, the developer is also trying to land a grocery store on the bottom floor (like every other developer in downtown).
  8. Bowery Project Apartments are officially up on Aparments.com What do you guys think of the interior photos/pricing of the units? Also, as anyone heard anything about the retail tenants ( besides the failed attempt to get a major grocery store )? https://www.apartments.com/the-bowery-district-akron-oh/ry0m991/
  9. New Proposed NOHO Commons ( Next to Cascade Lofts ) Does anyone have any additional information on this new proposed project? I just noticed it while I was driving by the area, it looks like it could add a lot to the area.
  10. Here's an update on The 797 Building on East Market. It's right by the new Middlebury Commons and not far from the East End Project. Hopefully, this will be able to fill most of the 60 rooms starting in Feb. 2019 and match the success of the East end occupancy rates.
