  1. The Hanna building is almost exactly the half-way mark. Hanna building = 194ft The Lumen = 396ft It's going to dwarf the surrounding buildings.
  2. After what seems like an eternity... We might finally see the nuCLEus project break ground! I won't believe it until I see it though.
  3. It's also amazing that the building is only 1/3 complete. It already seems a little tall.
  4. Graduated yesterday and couldn't miss the opportunity to take graduation pics in front of my favorite construction site ?
  5. It's across the street from a freaking jail... lol
  6. Exactly^ It's in a bad location. I've been looking at apartments for awhile, and The Standard has always been one of the lowest on my list. If it was 3-400 dollars cheaper I would consider it.
  7. A Target would look great in this location... But sadly most CityTarget's contain at least 80,000 square feet of retail space. The Centennial project only has 40,000 square feet of retail, so trying to squeeze a Target in there would be pretty difficult.
  8. It's cool that this will be the tallest building built in CLE since 2002 (when the Federal Court House was finished)
  9. It's like they purposely chose the worst name imaginable. It's so bad.
  10. Thought this would be relevant here. I created a petition for a City-Target in downtown CLE. Please sign if you think this would be great for the city ? thanks. http://chng.it/Kq892fPV7q
  11. http://chng.it/Kq892fPV7q I just made this petition for a Target in downtown CLE! Please sign and share around. Target and the CEO will be notified if we hit a certain amount of signatures. Thanks!
  12. Summer 22 is when the first apartments will be available for lease. Summer 23 is when the entire project will be complete.
  13. Construction hasn't started yet. It's planned to start later this year and won't be completed until summer 2023.
  14. Pretty much. There's very few abandoned buildings left downtown. The rest are all small.
  15. I always thought it would be cool to see that building replaced with something larger. Tall wedge-shaped buildings are some of the coolest-looking in my opinion.
  16. I'm too nosy. I need to know what's going on ???
  17. I called them. The rent is ridiculous. It starts at $1700/month and goes all the way up to over $4K/month. I would have considered moving there if a single-bedroom unit was around $1400/month, but $1700 is insane.
  18. DRILLING SPOTTED. I asked one of the workers what the drilling was for, and he responded with "I cannot currently disclose that information" Hmmmmm wonder what that could mean ?
  19. If you asked them, I'm sure they'd just say they're getting ready to replace the concrete or something... They rarely spill development info.
  20. Exactly. Only the base should blend in. The upper floors have a much more vibrant color.
  21. That sounds about right.. So in reality, almost half the students live on campus.. The total student population is approaching 20,000.
  22. Only about 8% live in the dorms... That doesn't include The Edge, The Langston, or any other apartments downtown. I don't know the exact number, but I'd guess close to 40% of CSU students live in the downtown area.
  23. Unsure. I work for SW and I've heard no plans about getting rid of the Minneapolis branch. It would definitely make sense moving them over though... Because having everyone in one place would make everything more efficient.
  24. We're lucky anything is being built. If Stark pulls this off it will be amazing. I also love the design. Not everything is about height. Urban density is more important.
  25. I'm wayyyyyy more confident that this version of nucleus is happening. It sounds like they don't need some crazy bill to pass in order to finance it anymore, which is a huge plus. It will be very disappointing if it doesn't break ground this year.
