Here's a few I put together. As with everything I make, I'm not crazy about any of them, but here they are. I'm sure I'll mess around some more this weekend.

In Florida Guy's image, what's the deal with the cable stay bridge in the foreground? Is that in the works as well or did someone just think it would just look nice in the rendering?
  3. I've had Alltel for seven years and have had no real problems to speak of. Occasional drop outs, but pretty rare. I can't say I've heard many bad reports from my friends that have Verizon, so I'd say either are pretty safe choices.

^^^ Wait! Let me look into my crystal ball...The book is being published by Time Warner (or a subsidiary).

I guess Paul Harvey is probably not going to enjoy my parties. :drunk:
  6. ^fyi Mapquest tells me Cleve to Akron is 38 miles. Cleve to Youngstown is 74 miles

I can perfectly imagine what Lucy pulling the football away from Charlie Brown would look like Anime-style. Great!
  8. Ingenuity Festival showcases alternatives to razing Marcel Breuer's Ameritrust tower Steven Litt: Wednesday, July 18, 2007 AMBIARCH INC. A proposal by architect Aetem Golestian of Glendale, Calif., would carve giant openings into architect Marcel Breuer's Ameritrust tower, creating a series of garden terraces. ^Nope. No South Park reference goes unacknowledged.
  10. ^That name would never fly in the U.S. Sad. No one has a sense of humor anymore. Even though it's an entertainment magazine, the title alone would activate some family morals protection group and my Time Warner stock takes a hit 'cuz people don't appreciate a double entendre when they see it. BTW, that gerbil or hamster or whatever it is has my vote for Time's Person of the Year. Talk about a unity candidate!
  11. then try Stamps Magazine Uncut Loaded Nuts The Shooting Gazette Prediction As you see, we have a magazine for all lifestyles! I checked out "Uncut" online and was really happy to see it wasn't about what I thought it was about.
  12. Just neighboring Cleveland Heights is University Heights, which has a Whole Foods Market. http://www.wholefoods.com/stores/cleveland/index.html I moved up to the Cedar-Lee neighborhood a few months ago and am really pleased with the atmosphere and the sense of community involvement. The homes are more tightly placed in Cedar-Lee compared to around Monticello and Noble. I don't know how much that will impact the "community" feeling, but wherever you go, I've found that the city does offer quite a bit in terms of parks, activities and the like.
  13. ^The public spaces and the spaces for the residents of the lofts will be in the same garage, but will be seperated. Condo residents will enter off of Meadowbrook and the public will enter off of Cedar (I believe).
  14. Just a little bump as the July 19th opening looms closer. Also, Lisa Lock will be there. Someone whom I have never heard of, but am really intrigued by this picture:

Last line of the Dax clip: "She's going to be my girlfriend - I know it." After the camera stopped, I really hope that wasn't followed up with, "Or else!"

I do kinda dig the Wendy Park sign. I've stopped a couple times (sans camera ) to check on the progress of the rust behind the brushed metal lettering. Totally venue appropriate and a cool idea. Now, whether it's up to Avenue district "World Class Signage" standards, I couldn't say...
  17. Yeah, try Dave's in Ohio City. Pretty much your general-type grocery store and a stone's throw from the Westside Market http://search.cityguide.aol.com/cleveland/entertainment/daves-supermarket/v-105380182/map
  18. I'd say Fat Fish Blue for the kids. Decent kids menu and something a little different for downtown.
  19. It's still on track, as far as I know. I know her nephew and I'll ask if he knows anything new, but I doubt anything will be open in July.
  20. ^How about "Cleveland: The Cleveland of the Midwest...deal with it!"
  21. Actually, it looks like they're making real progress. They've started on the second deck of the garage and there has been a constant back up of concrete trucks in the morning at the end of my driveway this week. I think there's a mid-November deadline for completing the deck and it looks like they should be done in plenty of time (barring disaster, of course). I'll get some pictures up shortly. I moved in June 1st, but every free minute not spent at work has been spent gutting and replacing the bathroom and kitchen.

  25. And a water park between the two hotels? That's cool, but I hope they could throw a retractable roof on it so it would still be usable in the winter.
