  1. There’s a crane up for the Galaxy development by Top Golf -
  2. Here’s another shot from the Vet’s lot with a slightly less crappy camera. I didn’t realize how visible this would be from east Franklinton/the river until the crane went up.
  3. Not the best photo, but here’s the Riverbend Hotel from last weekend -
  4. Here’s a view from the top floor of the James -
  5. Looks like they’re redoing the brick crosswalk at Belle and Broad.
  6. Not the best pics, but here’s a few of Jackie O’s. Excited for this to open (also Freedom a la Cart next door is pretty dang good).
  7. According to this CBF article, Cameron Mitchell is opening a steakhouse in the PNC building - Downtown steakhouse, new Easton eatery in the works for Cameron Mitchell Restaurants I'm not a big steakhouse patron, but having a steakhouse downtown feels like a good barometer of increased activity/vibrancy.
  8. A bit random, but I noticed Apple Maps has 3D outlines of the Peninsula phase 1 buildings.
  9. Unfortunately I’d be surprised if we see much in the way of pedestrian improvements or road dieting because of that. Im guessing the city will just wait until 2028 and address it when they start the Broad/Main BRT (which I believe will remove at least two traffic lanes). The speed limit on Broad drops to 30 (from 35) as soon as you cross the Scioto leaving downtown, but if anything people go faster at that point than they do in DT….
  10. I wonder if those will close. Are they run by the stores, or Starbucks? I’m pretty sure if you work at a Starbucks in a Kroger, you’re a Kroger employee and not a Starbucks employee. Which leads me to think the decision to close would be on the Kroger/Target store, not on Starbucks.
  11. As an aside, I really appreciate how Columbus Business First has made the housing shortage a reporting priority.
  12. Couple more shots of 195 E Broad, from 9/30. The elevator core might be topped off now.
  13. That’s one of the reasons I really want the BRT project to move forward. It’ll force traffic calming by removing two driving lanes.
  14. Streewall! I think this Deloitte sign is relatively new. They’ve also added a sign for the Junto hotel.
  15. Gravity 2.0 is starting to look a lot like its billboard.
  16. It feels like the momentum from Italian Village is about to spill over onto Cleveland, which would be great to see. Especially if the Cleveland BRT line ends up happening.
  17. Interesting to note that DBT said they had the land under contract before the Intel announcement. So this driven by pre-Intel momentum.
  18. That sounds like a tremendous upgrade from a Panera. Nice to see late night 7 day a week hours too.
  19. I’m excited to see that cafe put more life on the street.
  20. This is the only photo I managed to take, it’s frankly atrocious. Someone please redeem it.
