  1. @Zagapi Thanks for saying what I wanted to say. You put it in so much of an eloquent manner. The above comments are all valid points, but watch for Cleveland to make a late push and win this franchise. If we don’t, I will apologize to everyone.
  2. I don’t get my news….sporting or otherwise from Reddit.
  3. Having all the built- in infrastructure is nice. I think NWSL will be looking for virgin or semi-virgin territory. Why attempt to carve out a niche in an already saturated market? That’s not the way to do it if you’re trying to grow your market.
  4. @GCrites….fantastic commentary and spot on! Thanks!
  5. Thanks @TBideon… your comment makes me feel a bit better. I do hope the stadium issue will be resolved sooner rather than later. I would prefer any new stadium to be located downtown. This decision is so difficult and with so many variables. I hope that however this turns out it will be something that we all can be proud of!
  6. I know it’s important to manage expectations and be realistic about what we can accomplish as a region, but the naysayers and their negative attitudes are getting me down. Nothing is ever good enough. With the attitudes of many on this site, no wonder we haven’t kept up with some of our peer cities.
  7. It’s common sense to store your cannabis out of reach of children. The same way you would household cleaning solutions or any other legitimate, but harmful substance that is used on a daily basis. How many children were harmed eating tide pods that were improperly stored. Eating a bunch of cannabis gummies is infinitely better than ingesting detergent.
  8. @IAGuy39is exactly right. The cap on THC has Michigan cannabis shops smiling from ear to ear. The cap for concentrates is 90% and I believe 35% for plants….what it was supposed to be in Ohio. I’m currently vaping a few strains that are between 80 and 90% THC potency. I’ll continue to buy from Michigan because a THC level of 50% or less is unacceptable. Most Ohio smokers that have been procuring their cannabis from other states will not want a cap at all and will continue to buy from whomever or wherever they have been buying. I will certainly not pay more for weak, watered down weed. It seems like every time we try to do something worthwhile for our citizens we find a way to shoot ourselves in the foot and regress.
  9. I’m sick of intrusive, controlling, big government, Christian nationalists shoving their B.S. down my throat. I love Ohio, but this state legislature is ridiculous. We need to pass the redistricting amendment asap. If these provisions pass, I’ll continue to get my cannabis from Michigan. I rejected religion decades ago and I have been a happy atheist ever since.
  10. There is an easy answer to this argument. Instead of men making decisions for women, let women decide what they feel is the proper course of action. Women are smart and are perfectly capable of making this choice.
  11. The Cavs won the NBA championship in 2016. Also, the Indians/Guardians went to the World Series in the same year. Things aren’t as bad as they initially seem.
  12. @snakebiteis exactly right. If we want the Browns to stay within the city limits, a lot of public funding is going to be required. I’m a Cuyahoga County taxpayer and I’d like a dome built somewhere near downtown. This endeavor will cost billions of dollars… not millions. It’s informative to look at the funding breakdown for the MLS stadiums, but this potential project/investment would be in another realm entirely.
  13. I know that soccer is becoming popular, but it will always be the “5th”sport in America. RMFH has as big a capacity as the soccer stadium in Columbus. If 20,000 seats or so stadiums are all that’s required, the MLS is pretty small time stuff.
  14. Does the Ohio GOP honestly think they can keep the “evils” of cannabis out of Ohio if they overturn what I believe will be a vote for legalization? There are a ton of Ohioans who are going to other states to get what we want. Millions in Ohio sales and tax money is going to other states … especially Michigan. My wife and I enjoy using cannabis recreationally and we enjoy it in a responsible manner. We’re tired of “family values” Republicans and church groups trying to cram their version of morality down our throats. Oh well, we’ll just keep supporting Michigan’s economy.
