  1. Still looks nice to me. Is this two smaller buildings instead of one big one?
  2. The one in the picture is probably done, if not 95% finished. I think they are still planning on building a pool inside that enclave you see there (it's actually one building despite looking like two in this picture). There is another one directly across the street from this one that is not finished yet. I'm not even sure people can move in there. The sidewalk in front of this building on Rich and even High street is a mess. I hope they repair it. It's a blob of asphault, cement, missing bricks, and vents raised higher than the rest of the ground (tripping hazard). I work right next to here and I'll report back if they ever do, but man...is there someone or someplace I can call to see if they (LC) or the city is going to repair it?
  3. Thanks for the pictures. I still walk by this every morning and today they were continuing to do work. For some reason, I thought this project was in conjunction with North Market Tower but I guess not. Man, oh, man, would I like to hear something about that tower : p
  4. I was in Ohio City for the first time this past weekend and just loved how urban it felt. Hopefully all of Cleveland will be like this someday as it corrects its "new urbanism" fantasies from the 60s.
  5. Finally found the correct thread! Didn't know what this project was called. Anyway, when walking by it on my way to work this morning, it seems like they've officially started work and have torn some parts of the buildings down and gutted chunks of them. They were also tearing up bricks from the old patio that was at the one end bar.
  6. Cross posting this from the Arena District thread: I did not take photos, nor do I know if this is the correct thread (please point me to the correct one if there is one), but the buildings that were emptied last year on Park Street right next to Goodale and have been vacant for a year, have finally had work begin on them. This is the site for the hotel they're building while preserving part of the buildings currently being gutted. Glad to see work begin on them. It also gets me excited that North Market Tower might begin soon as well.

  8. This is the Yoga on High lot, correct? They recently relocated because I thought this project was happening. I also like this proposal. Hope it happens.
  9. Indeed! I personally am loving the Moxy building. It went up fast, as well.
  10. Who in the world rents these $5k/month apartments? And what am I doing with my life that I can't? Like OMG.
  11. Very interesting. I didn't know this was common and figured it was a crazy engineering thing. Thanks for the insight!
  12. I can't for the life of me figure out how this is going to fit in that space. Like, where's that road going to go? Is it being built above it? Road now goes through a tunnel? No amount of mental gymnastics makes it work in my head, lol. Can someone smarter than me explain?
  13. Why is it a dud? Sure it's now more generic, but it seems to be anything but dead to me.
  14. Anyone smarter than me have any input on this? What in the world is the aversion to this? https://www.bizjournals.com/columbus/news/2018/12/12/franklinton-area-commission-sends-mixed-message-on.html
  15. I expect progress pics weekly! ? Also, super excited about this project.
  16. Can we get rid of that Budget rental place? Ugh.
  17. I have a question: I thought Ohio gerrymandering was voted down by the voters for both Ohio state districts and US Congressional districts the past couple elections? Is it over? Is the fight really not over? I thought that they were going to be at lease SOMEWHAT more fairly drawn in 2021 or something. I'm pretty dumb about the order of events and what's yet to come. Is there a good summary post I'm missing or can someone help me out? Thank you so much!
  18. More bike lanes always excites me. Anything to get more cars off the streets. Looks like the full project will be complete after ODOT finishes its monster project.
  19. Are we accepting that "newer design" as a sure-fire thing? Even their official website was updated without that rumored rendering.
  20. This is exciting. I really hope they get someone! Chipotle still seems like the perfect "key tenant" : p I work right next to this lot and every day I hope to see something happen, haha. I'll post something as soon as I notice cars being unable to park in that lot anymore ?
  21. Nope. The color is just awful. I thought it looked like a cool building until they put the siding on, which I as well thought was construction siding for a while. But the building is actually fine in design, I think, outside of that atrocious siding, lol.
  22. I just went into this UDF today. It's very nice. Like.....the nicest UDF I've ever been in. My goodness, this is what's been missing from my life. So glad to see them back in the Short North. Sometimes you just don't want to spend $20 on a bougie dinner and just want to make a Bob Evans sausage link in a bun with whatever toppings your heart desires for less than $2. Interesting bit: It seems like there are two "garage" doors that open up and can have seating for eating where those rails are in that picture above.
  23. I didn't know this! Was the town called Old North Columbus? Or just North Columbus? Curious....
  24. High Street where the new streetscaping has been going on was repaved this past week : )
